The fact that SWERFs don’t believe sex work is ever acceptable because using money to turn a “no” into a “yes” is inherently not real consent is wild.

My brother in Christ, it’s called being paid for your labor. Literally even a commune farmer works because their work will allow the community to eat, and then their clothes can get mended by another community member, their child taught by others during the day. It’s a trade of goods or services, or currency which can be used FOR goods and services. The idea that by choosing to do something for any reason other than because you feel like it means it’s not consensual is literally whack.

When it comes to revenge porn or blackmail, it’s right to say “You are not obligated to take pictures you are not comfortable with,” but it’s wrong to say “Have self-respect and don’t take nude pictures of yourself.”  That is not only victim-blaming, but it’s also a SWERF thing to say because a lot of sex workers make money from that, and it is not immoral.  

What is immoral is posting or threatening to post personal pictures that are supposed to be private.  

Modesty, victim blaming, slut shaming, and SWERF-ness all go together.   

Just because you have seen a person naked, does not mean that a piece of their worth is taken away.

back in the day when i was active on politigram/online discourse i used to go and read about the other side’s opinions to challenge my own, and i would always find it difficult to come up with arguments, and whenever i debated someone it was always interesting as to their point, and it always made me think. scrolling through the ‘anti-radfem’ tag on this godforsaken site, on the other hand, holds none of those challenges or good opposing points. it is a bunch of spoiled brats sharting about either a) threatening violence against ‘terf’s, b) telling ‘terf’s to ‘shut the fuck up’ or c) using gross homophobic rhetoric as to how lesbians are predatory. now, i used to appreciate that opinions are subjective et cetera et cetera... but bloody hell. if someone is of an opinion and THAT is what your ‘intellectually stimulating’ opposition is like... yeah i think my opinion is correct, thanks
