In Fethiye district of Muğla, Turkey, the Lycian tombs carved into the rocky slope of the ancient city of Telmessos are among the unique legacies of the 4th century BC.

The ancient city of Myra, located in and around the town of Demre in Antalya in Turkey, was connected to the sea by a canal to the west of the Myros River (Demre Stream). On the other side of the canal, the ancient port of Andriake was used for sea transportation and trade.

Myra is especially famous for its Lycian rock tombs, Roman theater, and Byzantine Saint Nicholas Church (Santa Claus). Rock tombs, Lycian inscriptions, and coins show that Myra has been in existence at least since the 5th century BC.

According to Strabo, Myra, one of the six largest cities of the Lycian Union, was called Myrrh in the Lycian inscriptions. The 2nd century AD was the time of Myra's great development.

Euromos Antik Kenti: Muğla, Milas’a yaklaşık 12 km mesafededir. Yapılan kazılarda ele geçen mimari buluntular ve seramikler Euromos kentinin M.Ö. 6.yy’da da var olduğunu gösterir. Kent M.Ö. 5.yy’dan daha erken dönemlerde karşımıza ‘Kyramos’ ya da ‘Hyramos’ adıyla çıkmaktadır. Euromos antik kenti M.Ö. 5. yy’da Attika-Delos deniz birliğinin bir üyesiydi ve birliğe vergi ödemekteydi. Kentte günümüzde görülebilen yapılar Zeus Lepsynos Tapınağı, tiyatro, agora, hamam, surlar ve nekropoldür. Söz konusu kalıntılardan Zeus Lepsynos Tapınağı Anadolu’daki en iyi korunmuş tapınaklardan biri olması itibariyle dikkat çekicidir.
