theres a colony of ants living inside my apartment (possibly in the walls or floor bc they seem to come out from corners) and i've been seeing the winged ones more often as its been getting warmer. especially the drones. 2023 was the last time i saw winged ants, so i feel lucky seeing them again

when i was a kid we had an ant infestation and i liked to watch them all make lines across the house and keep track of what they were doing. the winged ones are honestly a pretty sight!
