day 1; self care theme: calm • Child's pose. I find a lot of peace here and could stay like this for hours. It's so much easier to find my breath in this position than many others, it becomes so centering and calming. I feel whole here, like my body is a complete ball of energy and through the outlet of my hands I still hold the feeling of the presence of this world. I also love that in this position I tend to reflect, not only on my body but also on outward and inward experiences. Lavender being the aromatherapy for this day also is amazing, I love the smell and the color, probably one of my favorite smells, probably one of my favorite colors. It takes me to high places. It's so relaxing and easing to my mind. I also feel like lavender lately. A soft purple.. a flower, so delicate, all I've been desiring lately is to become soft in my body and my ways but strong enough to still rise. Which I think back to the smell and I believe it correlates with my speech, something you can't see or touch but must sense and understand in a whole new way, bringing new thoughts & ideas of & from a higher consciousness. To find and feel my tenderness so deeply, that it begins to resonate outward is definitely a dream of mine. 🙏🏻💜 • #anyaselfcarechallenge (at SUNY Purchase)
