I think hanma actually really likes romance and romantic gestures when they come from a partner. It's not that he needs them necessarily (and he's definitely not one to be so by the book when it comes to doing them either.)
But I think he really likes to be thought of, remembered, seen. He likes when you make his Favourite food just because he had a rough day at work, and he likes when you stick on a movie and play with his hair when you're winding down for bed. He likes that you remember the one time he mentioned one Brand of bread was better than the other and his go to coffee order. He likes that you admire the pictures he takes and you give him constructive criticism when he asks for your honest opinion and he likes that you buy him chocolate and flowers even though he says it should be him buying it for you.
And he likes when you leave him a message during the day randomly and tell him you miss him and send him things that remind you of him, and tell him you love him when you're kissing. Hell he even likes it when you tell him to make sure to wear his seatbelt and not to smoke so much.
And he'll die before he admits it, but he likes to be known, as he is, without pretending.
