According to Pausanias, there were originally three Muses, worshipped on Mount Helicon in Boeotia: Aoide ('song' or 'tune'), Melete ('practice' or 'occasion'), and Mneme ('memory').

INFODUMP:
Chione is one of the cases of a human being born to a god; in Greek myth, she was a mortal woman. For her lore, I decided that she would be the Queen of Thrace (Thrace is canon to Chione's lore). Chione would defy her father one day by running off with a man (not the king of Thrace), a man she actually loved. Boreas, being the dick that he is, would release a relentless winter onto her kingdom. This storm would slowly kill everything and everyone, eventually killing his daughter and her lover (he died in her arms on a hill). Hestia took pity on the young woman and the young man. She proceeded to apotheosize Chione, and turned her lover into the warmth that comes from hypothermia before a person dies of it.

Like Athena to Odysseus, she was a mentor to an aspiring hero. He was promising, and did well under the training of an ally of Ares. When it came time to fight, Alala pushed her mentee far too hard. He died on the battlefield, in the goddess's arms. Alala took what was left of his cloak and killed everyone on the battlefield that day.

in greek mythology, aoede was one of the three original boeotian muses, which later grew to five before the nine olympian muses were named. her sisters were melete and mneme. aoede was the muse of voice and song.
Practical Guide to Evil fanart - Last in the series of Hanno's book 3 band.
Bard mentions Aoede's hair is curlier than she'd like, so I may have gone a bit overboard.
Creating a lute that looks like it's made from driftwood is tricky. While also making it look like it can play. But I did add various small scratches to it. (Honestly, who am I kidding. Drawing a lute is tricky, period.)
