Omen of Sorrow es un juego de lucha en 2D con cuatro botones, con gráficos impulsados por Unreal Engine 4, un elenco de personajes inspirados en el horror clásico, la fantasía y la mitología, y un sistema de batalla diseñado desde el cero para premiar la habilidad del jugador, más que las estadísticas o la posibilidad aleatoria, con mecanismos de combate profundos que favorecen el movimiento para proporcionar una experiencia atractiva para los profesionales y los recién llegados al genero de luchas por igual.
