I need to write a scene where Octavian just rants at Apollo about how his haikus are bad and all the rules he's breaking. And just getting very passionate about poetry. Which actually makes Apollo like him more because Apollo is the god of poetry and I think he pretends to be bad at it because modern people think poetry is pointless. When was the last time that Apollo talked to Octavian?

Because it seems that since he went to the Island of Delos he didn't talk to anyone anymore. And we should assume that it was about the time Octavian lost his prophetic powers.

Which would mean that Apollo was supporting him until the war. Because if Apollo stopped talking to him when Jupiter put the gods in silence or when Jason disappeared that would mean months without talking which would raise Octavian's doubts and I'm sure he wouldn't feel like the god was supporting him.

But if the last time they talked was before Percy appearing? Maybe during SoN this would explain why Octavian was so sure about Apollo supporting him.

And also makes the way Apollo talk about him look even worse.
