okay, i have to get this off my chest and tumblr is always the best place for me to scream into the void. that being said, i think andor is a vastly overrated show. maybe i just need more knowledge on star wars lore, maybe i didn't 'get it', but throughout the entire series, yes even during the supposedly best parts of the series during season 2, all i remember feeling was boredom.
andor is a really uninteresting protagonist to me. sometimes i was interested in what he had to say, the acting wasn't bad or anything, it's just that the character really didn't feel memorable to me at all - he's easily replaceable. he was a lot more memorable in rogue one and i'm not even kidding. mon mothma was an interesting character, i thought some of her scenes were pretty thrilling. i also liked luthen rael (had to google his name) and he was definitely my favourite, i remember how his death scene affected me (but maybe that's just cause i love stellen skarsgaard lol)
but my biggest criticism would have to the proportion of dialogue to action - the script is waaaaaay too talky. i'm not saying there needs to be lightsabers and guns blazing every 10 minutes, that's not my main focus when it comes to star wars - but i really think the script was in desperate need of some action going on. it doesn't make the story flow very well.
i'd have to rate the series a 4, maybe a 5 out of 10 overall. it's not poor quality, the acting is great and to me the best aspect, but it just didn't draw me in or captivate me in any way. there were a lot of flaws and it certainly isn't the best star wars media to ever exist either imo. loved rogue one and mandalorian but this just aint it chief.
i can't go into a lot of detail about the series content, it's been over a year since i watched this but i just remembered this series and wanted to yap. no hate to anyone who likes andor
