Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I noticed that while district 2 have names from Greece and Rome history their names are of leaders or royalty but in general they are named after mortals in the mythologies while the capitol have that alongside naming after gods like Apollo and Diana as well as Persephone

So I want to make sure if any characters from district 2 are named after Greek or Roman gods or are they all named after mortals from these mythologies because I find it interesting 🤔 and is considering if I might commit to it , I know that there are characters from the capitol that aren't named after gods but I still want to make sure @atefingersdagger hope you don't mind me asking you since your the biggest district 2 expert I know

it is fascinating that these two are twins and are named diana and apollo. not artemis and apollo, diana. as in roman and greek instead of both greek. and then they’re both described as having sunny personalities when apollo is the god of light in greek mythology… like maybe i've thinking too deep about this, but i am wondering.

This is just a list of the industries I think the mentor's families are involved in if they weren't specified in the books, some have actual logic involved others are more just vibes.

Palmyra Monty's family has large real estate assets in both the districts and the Capitol.

Florus Friend's family is heavily involved in communications, they control most of the phone lines in Panem.

Urban Canville's family is involved in the military and the surveillance of the general public. (sorry for the urban canville mention without a trigger warning)

Dennis Fling's family owns a large collection of wineries in Districts 1 and 4.

Apollo and Diana Ring's family is heavily involved in the production of automobiles, the Ring's are the Panemian equivalent of the Ford family.

Vipsania Sickle's family owns and operates a large publishing house, its specifically know for the production of textbooks.

Pliny Harrington's family is heavily involved in the navy but they also are involved in the production of naval vessels.

Juno Phipps family is a founding family in Panem, but they also own a series of gem production facilities in District 1.

Hilarius Heavensbee's family is another founding family of Panem, but they also have large ties to the pharmaceutical industry.
