Bible Study Tools: Mark 16:17 (Part 2) - In my name shall they cast out devils. (Self Deliverance)
so the Apostle Paul dispossessed the damsel, that had a spirit of divination; commanding the spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ, to come out of her, and it did; and evil spirits also went out of others, through his means, by the power of Christ, ( Acts 16:18 ) ( 19:12 ) ; and this power continued for a considerable time among the saints: the phrase “in my name”, is in the Arabic version, joined…

The Subtle Snare of Self-Made Religion 16 Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.... https://devotionaryblog.com/2026/07/27/the-subtle-snare-of-self-made-religion/
i love how most of Jesus's apostles would have been like, at the widest range like 14-25. Hashtag Relatable! I love how they were real people who hurt and cried and loved each other
You ever get that feeling for your friends that you just love them so incredibly much and would do anything for them, but most importantly hug them right now and cry? The apostles felt that for each other. And for their own families and friends And Jesus felt it too. He laughed and cried and grieved even though He was perfect. He laughed and cried and grieved and suffered. and died. and rose.
And then He cooked some fish for his friends
Saint John of the Cross: the chalice of self-denial and the cross support us on the narrow road.
Hey friends, today is the beautiful Feast of Saint Mary Magdalene and my heart is so full! 🪷
Who was she, really? She wasn’t just that woman from Magdala. Mary Magdalene was healed by Jesus of seven demons and became one of His closest, most loyal disciples. 🌿
She stood faithfully at the foot of the Cross when almost everyone else had fled.
And early on that first Easter morning she was the very first person to see the Risen Lord. Jesus chose her to carry the greatest news in history to the Apostles. No wonder she’s called the Apostle to the Apostles.
🙏
What can we ask of her today? Saint Mary Magdalene, pray for us! Intercede for all of us who need healing from our past, freedom from our struggles, and the courage to love Jesus with everything we have. Help us repent with true tears, stand firm in suffering, and run with joy to tell others that He is alive!
🕯
Did you know?
She was the first evangelist of the Resurrection.
Pope Francis raised her feast to the same level as the Apostles because of her incredible witness.
She’s the patron of converts, penitents, and anyone who’s ever felt misunderstood or left behind.
If you’re carrying heavy burdens today, turn to her. She understands what it means to be transformed by Christ’s mercy.
📿
Saint Mary Magdalene, help us love Him more deeply and announce His Resurrection with our lives. Amen.
Who else has a special devotion to her? Drop a heart or share your prayer request below; I’m praying with you!
