Between jealousy and envy which one is worse or better?
Happy new month lovelies may April bring you clarity, growth and peace
Feeling a little blah today, moving a little slower, so took to my journal. Every month I set new intentions and monthly goals. Some are measurable, some are not. Some are health related, some are business related. The goals are things I want to accomplish and the intentions are themes/vibes/ideas I want to carry with me through the month. It's an important practice for me to check in and see how my mind body and soul feel each month. It helps me press pause for a second and see where I need to go next. And it almost never happens on the actual first of the month haha. I share them to keep myself accountable and because when I speak them out loud, it manifests them into reality. So I share them with you all today. April Goals: 1. Drink alcohol at most 5 times this month. 2. Make enough money to cover May Rent (home +biz) 3. Write one blog post a week. 4. Make a learning plan. 5. Move my body everyday. 6. Walk 3-4 times a week outside 7. Sleep in-- no alarm-- at least once a week. April Intentions: 1. Respect the pause⏸. 2. Create new rituals that will continue to support me in the future. 3. MEDITATE: I know it feels good. 4. Write more: journal, blog, share my ideas (for no one or everyone) 5. Read--> it used to be my favorite past time until "time" (or lack of) became an issue. Help keep accountable friends? #Aprilintentions Yoga Challenge.
Day 1. Rox: Plank (Kumbhakasana)
#April Intentions, last day : Seated forward fold
I had such a good time with you all and I'm so happy that so many people joined us. I will miss you. Happy yoga lovelies <3
For the final day of the April Intentions yoga challenge the posture is Seated Forward Fold (Paschimottanasana) or Stretching Pose. My intention is to take action without hesitation.
This challenge was such a pleasant surprise. It really helped me move my yoga practice further by pushing me outside of my Bikram/hot yoga comfort zone.
It also was just the inspiration I needed to start to incorporate postures that I've purposely avoided into my personal practice. There is much truth to the saying that the poses you avoid are usually the ones you need the most.
I needed this.
I was amazed by what I learned and discovered about my practice and myself. This challenge was much more than I had hoped. Thanks to the hosts: Ola, Angie, Rae, Marion, Rox, and Rachael.
I'm looking forward to my next challenge.
