wait pit, you're doing NaNoWriMo this year, right? my friend roped me into it this year and it'll be my first ever official attempt. I'm *slightly* dying; any advice?? it'd be really appreciated. ☆

Don’t worry about quality, don’t go back and fix things, don’t even think about going back to fix things. This is the writer’s equivalent of a sprint. If you trip up, just keep going.

1667 words per day! Though, you might want to overshoot that average, just in case. At least in my experience, word count often differs between whatever word program you’re using and the NaNoWriMo website. Most of the past years I’ve hit 50k only to find that the website registers it with several hundnred words less. It’s annoying, so watch out for that.

Surround yourself with people who will egg you on! I’m in my uni’s creative writing club, which holds NaNo support groups, and I’m also on a discord server for it.
