so here i am writing my own (actually a fork of st) terminal in c, and we have this kind of cursed code.
so maybe anyone knows a lot about x11 and xlib and maybe a better way to look into the mime type targets, and check if it actually has the "STRING" target. because XConvertSelection forces the image/png target to be a string if you ask it for a string (i think)

i made this post from a basically completely empty install of arch linux, with firefox a xserver and literally no window manager!

instead of just installing arch normally, i'm gonna boot into the install iso, format the empty partition i created from win10 as ext4, use fbcat(1) or something to make a screenshot, save it to that partition, and then try to mount that from WSL to post the screenshot on tumblr.
okay the arch install failed, but not catastrophically. it printed a bunch of error messages, and then, because my script had a "shutdown -h now" at the end, i didn't get the chance to read any of them.
tho it did install systemd-boot, but there was no option to boot into arch from it. only to windows. but on the plus side windows still works 0_0
i just accidentally set my dpi to 10000 and now can't close i3 or open a terminal. well i can still use a different tty :)
(setting my dpi to the proper value of 144 still makes everything way too small)
so should i install x11 or wayland?
and what kind of hotkey daemon do you guys use? i don't think just hardcoding all my hotkeys into the i3 config is a good idea, because it kinda venderlocks me to i3.
i want to port my autohotkey script
its mostly this kind of stuff tho
