Tagged by @dexukiart and @liderfin to do the Archetypes Quiz. Thank you both! I did this for Sene and Solas here, but I decided to take it again for Mythal as she appears in The Dead Season. I am not surprised by the results. She is my rich winter empress with a flare for drama. But she has a very soft heart hidden beneath layers of fear, insecurity, and a heavy guard.

44% Intellectual The Intellectual is the ultimate dinner-party guest. Engaging questions and thoughtful debate are their trademarks.

39% Explorer The Explorer is drawn to the unknown, whether that’s a Himalayan peak or the road not taken, and have a thirst for adventure. They take journeys, not vacations.

17% Visionary Leave it to others to live by the status quo. The Visionary is interested in new ways of seeing, solutions not yet imagined, products not yet built.

@vir-ghilani was kind enough to tag me to take this fun archetype quiz for an OC, and I went with Thisbe since I’m knee deep in her Reyes playthrough. 

To balance the spin on these archetypes:

Intellectual - she’s bad at telling when people want to just eat their fucking dinner and not have a discussion about invasive plant species Explorer - she uses exploration as a tool for avoiding things she doesn’t want to deal with, and will rearrange furniture when she gets antsy Visionary - she misses important details when she’s busy being a big thinker, like how her vision might affect actual people or things. Thankfully she doesn’t do big thinking often.

I did that archetypes thing for Rani, Nina and Inanni. I’m not totally sold on Inanni’s results, but the other two are spot on (as long as you are willing to interpret Visionary as “I will try anything onc-OH SHIT THIS WAS A BAD IDEA!!”).

I was tagged by @lavellanlove to take the Archetypes Quiz for my children and post the results.

Sylathi Lavellan

Kindhearted and often puts the needs of others before her own, Sylathi is in tune with those around her and offers compassion and advice to put the troubled at ease. She sees the beauty and wonder in the world and strives to capture it for others to see. The first time I took this quiz for her, visionary was included in the archetypes instead of spiritual, but with how devout she is to the People and how she ties the world to the Creators, spiritual seemed a better fit for her. Visionary would definitely be a 4th archetype for her. 

Thelrand Lavellan

Thelrand knows that the world can be a cruel place for his people, jumping up to be the protector of the oppressed. If that involves a good fight, even better. He wants lives to be better for elves of all origins.

BONUS: Tamralan Lavellan

Tamralan is a loud voice for the elves, raising his daughter, Sylathi, to see that all elves are children are the Creators and should be treated as equal. His views often met opposition in the clan, but he doesn’t yield, treating all he meets with compassion and understanding they may not have received in their lives. He works to close the gap of misunderstanding between his people and city elves and humans in Thedas.
