This is the fic I mentioned.
Basically, all the gods are stuck on an island with their kids. The hierarchy of the divine is the heavenly principles, the shades, and then the gods and their kids. The whole reason they’re on this island is because the shades are overprotective parents who got mad that their children were having relationships and kids with khaeriahn, some who were messing with the abyss. And the shades didn’t want to kill their kids, so they destroyed the nation. The gods haven’t been in their nations in hundreds of years because of their imprisonment on the island. It’s not that bad it’s pretty but they can’t leave. They have all built a somewhat stable life. The khaeriahn think that their lovers are dead. They found out that they were all archons and were punished for love and they are angry on their behalf’s. They do genuinely believe they are dead.
Dainsleif was with rukkhadevta and when the fall happened, rukkhadevta was pregnant with Nahida and Dain had no idea. Nahida is an actual 5 year old. Her mother slowed her aging.
Ei and surtalogi. She helped him get stronger and they fell in love. Wanderer and raiden shogun are her kids with him. Both are very overprotective of their mother and angry at the hp. Surtalogi thinking his love is dead, when insane and took on skirk because she reminded him vaguely of Ei. If the two would ever reunite, Ei would view Skirk as her daughter.
Columbina had Rerir and tholandis. The two were obsessed with her and absolutely loved her. The two were planning on proposing to her. When the fall happened, they turned into the wild hunt. And are often seen calling out for a women to be reunited with them. It spawned a myth on nod krai about tragic lovers.
Anastasia was with Pierro. She was very happy and had already married him. She even talking about children with her husband. She found out she was pregnant right before being imprisoned but didn’t get to tell her husband. She gave birth to a blue haired boy that she named zandik. Zandik likes to do experiments with his cousins help. Pierro turned cold after she seemingly died.
Rhinedottir was deeply inlove with venti. She put many of her experiments in mondstadt because she loved him and thought of them as her and his children. Durin and albedo are venti’s children. They did get married. When venti is imprisoned, the family of 3 mourned with dvalin his death. Rhinedottir helped create dvalin a human body because she felt bad, venti considered him a son so she will treat him like a son.
Focalors was with Vedrfolnir on khaeriah. During that time they were together, he received no visions and thought that his burden had lessen because of his love. Very devoted to focalors and was planning their future together. They even had been engaged and on the day of the fall, focalors was trying to tell him something important. When the fall happened, he became riddled with visions. The something important was focalors was pregnant with furina!mc. Furina is vaguely aware of her father. Because of all that has happen, focalors isn’t the most stable person and needs furina to be in her sight line or she will panic.
Hroptatyr and Zhongli met in the university. They got into a very heated conversation about a topic and became friends and after a while, lovers. Hroptatyr loves hanging out with little Xiao and considered him a son. He started hoarding the two’s favorite books when the fall happened. He is very insistent on reading book that the two enjoyed as he ties memories to the books.
Capitano meet Mavuika when he was training for knight service. She fought him and she won and to this day, she is still considered the strongest fighter to him. Last he saw her, she was fighting. After the catalyst all he found was her sword and now he carries it everywhere to be close to his love.
After the archons were imprisoned on the island, they found out that there is a barrier that prevents them from leaving. An attack from them gets redirected right back at them. So they give up and make a small peace with this place. They built several buildings and a few houses. They have food and other necessities but nothing else. The kids took to exploring and swimming to pass the time. Furina is always trying to beat her mom’s diving record in the lake that is on the island. Zandik enjoys making things explode with wanderer. Raiden and Xiao are often fighting for fun. The kids are extremely close to each other because that are their only friends. They are all extremely overprotective of Nahida because she doesn’t age like them. She likes flowers so they grow flowers for her and furina dives to look for pretty shells for her cousin.
The adults are just trying to not lose their minds and are wondering how their lovers are. They fear that their lovers are dead and all have mourned a little bit of the years. They will never move on and they blame themselves for their lovers deaths. They are extremely protective of their kids because of the fact that all they have left. Venti is missing all 3 of his boys and wonders if they are still alive. Columbina and Mavuika are overprotective aunts because they don’t have kids. All of the adults aren’t stable in different ways.
During there imprisonment, their nations haven’t been doing good. They try to pray, thinking their gods will come back but they don’t. After a while they find out that the archons were imprisoned somewhere and they try to find them.
The nations have been slowly declining as the archons rule had prevented things from happening. When the dragons got revived, they found themselves unable to rule affectively as they have been out of power for nearly a millennium. They aren’t powerful or understand human emotions so they make things worse when they weren’t trying to. Now they are starting to want the little usurpers back. But don’t mention it for they get grumpy.
While this is going on the khaeriahn are trying to find their lost loves. They are going mad trying to find them and have searched all of the nations and chunks of the sea. They decide to go deep into the sea where no land is there. There are said to be monsters lurking underneath the waves. They go and after a long and dangerous voyage see a small island in the distance. They get hopeful as they sense energy. After getting closer a barrier appears and they can’t pass through it. They try to strike it and the barrier doesn’t respond to the attack. They all strike it at the same time.
At the same time, on the island, the archons become aware people are by the barrier around the island and are panicking. They are telling their kids to hide. Zandik and Nahida are in a cave in the island. Wanderer and shogun are together in a group of tall trees. Xiao is in the bush. Furina is under the lake. The kids aren’t moving around at all until their parents find them. The archons are trying to hide but stay close to the shore to see who is coming.
After several strikes to the barrier, it’s down and the khaeriahn are heading to the shore. They see buildings, they find abandoned food that is still warm. They find drawings of the archons on a buildings wall. They know they are here and they can feel it. They split up to find them.
Vedrfolnir has a vision and noticed a lake in the vision so heads to where he thinks the lake is. He has no idea focalors is panicking because he is heading to her daughter’s location and she is getting ready to intervene. Before she can intervene, Vedrfolnir gets the jump on her and grabbed her. He is excited, it’s his dear Foca, she is alive and he is never letting her go. Focalors is freaking out because Vedrfolnir won’t let her go and she needs to get to her daughter. She somehow gets freed from his arms and runs deeper into the trees, trying to put distance between them so she can grab her daughter. She doesn’t realize he is right behind her. She is jumping into the lake to grab furina. Furina is confused about what is going on and is scared. She is trying to follow her mom and to start trying to run, but doesn’t get far as Vedrfolnir grabbed them both. He gets another vision, not from the future but from the past of focalors and a newborn furina. He has the realization of this is his kid. Him and focalors have a daughter. He is hugging the two tightly and asking furina questions. Furina is so confused to find out this is her dad. Vedrflolnir is holding both focalors and furina to prevent them from leaving him. He is glad that it seems his ability has seemingly skipped furina and he is not dealing with intense visions now. He is never letting the two go.
Rhinedottir and all 3 of her boys are hunting for venti, dvalin and durin because of the them being dragons can sense their dad more easily. Venti has no idea it’s his kids and wife hunting him and is trying to get away from the group tailing him. He is doesn’t have his bow but he does have his powers. He uses his ameno abilities to lift his assailants into the air. He gets the shock of his life when he see albedo, durin and dvalin in human form, staring down at their dad. And Rhinedottir is right behind him and greets him. The five embraced while venti is crying his eyes out about missing 500 years of his kids lives. How he missed albedo and durin’s milestones because they are only around 500 years old. Only dvalin did he get to see grow up. He is crying and apologizing but his kids aren’t mad at him. They are happy that their dad is here with them. The family of five are now talking about their lives.
Surtalogi is hunting Ei down by hunting electro signatures. He sense a strange one that is close to him, on the assumption that it is probably Ei and it’s just changed over the years. He is wrong, it wasn’t Ei that he and skirk are tracking, it’s shogun’s and wanderer’s. The twins are close together and hide most of their signatures to hide so it doesn’t get identified as 2 signatures as 2 people but as one person. Ei has hidden her presence and can sense 2 strong individuals are close to her twins and she isn’t tolerating that. She already lost her sister and she isn’t losing her twins. Before shirk and Surtalogi get close to the twins, they get electrocuted by Ei. It would kill an ordinary person but shirk and Surtalogi are not weak. Surtalogi demands that she stop but she refused as she is giving her children an opportunity to run. She doesn’t know why he is here and she doesn’t recognize him immediately because he is covered in armor. She is constantly striking them with powerful electric shocks. While she is striking Surtalogi, she has no idea that skirk is hunting down her twins and got the jump on them. The twins are strong, Skirk will admit it but they are weak right now compared to her. She captured them and went back to where Surtalogi was fighting with them. As soon as Surtalogi sees the two Ei look-a-likes. He gets mad and demands to know who is the father, Ei still doesn’t realize that it’s Surtalogi, says that it’s her one true loves Surtalogi. And she won’t let a strange man take the only things she has left from her lover. Surtalogi is shocked by this and removed his mask, revealing his face that hasn’t changed in 500 years. Ei stops attacking, she is crying and twins are yelling at Surtalogi for making their mama cry. Skirk is dropping them. Ei asked about Skirk and upon finding out this is his adoptive daughter, grabbed her into a hug. The twins are annoyed, this strange man in armor is their dad. They have a new sister, they are iffy on the dad thing but excited about new powerful sister. Skirk wasn’t expecting the immediate acceptance but she is happy. The whole family of five are now just hugging each other in a big group hug as Ei cries happy tears for the first time in centuries.
Columbina is floating through the open air. She knows she is exposed up here but her wings are big and she can’t easily maneuver around the forest with them. She also needs space and since the barrier is down, she is able to fly fast in the air for the first time in years. She doesn’t notice pink and red tendrils trying to grab her until one almost succeeds in grabbing her leg. She is flying as high as she can to avoid them and is using evasive measures. She notices that they are attacking from one spot and is trying to figure out where her attackers are so she can take them down. They are smart, she will admit. They are in an area where the trees are dense and numerous. They know she can’t navigate that area with her wings well so she has to be on the ground or fly low. She starts flying low and is ready to move higher if needed. Shockingly she doesn’t get grabbed at by the tendrils, maybe they are regrouping or left the area? Then out of nowhere, red and pink tendrils grab her legs and body. Her wings are trying to get free but it’s a failed effort. She is beaten. She can only accept her defeat. Rerir and tholandis appear to her shock. Columbina can’t believe it, her moonlight and lunar light are alive. They are here with her. Do they know that it is her. Tholandis and Rerir grab columbina and hold her. They are hugging her and looking at her hungrily. They haven’t touched her in hundreds of years so forgive them for being a little zealous. They aren’t letting her go for a while. They are glad that their heart is in their arms again.
Rukkhadevta and Tsarista are interesting because they left earlier and found their kids quickly. The Tsarista and Zandik run in a different direction from rukkhadevta and Nahida as 4 people are too noticeable.
Rukkhadevta is running with little Nahida in her arms as she knows her daughter’s legs couldn’t keep up. Sadly she is starts to get tired but she can’t stop, she needs to get her baby somewhere safe. She doesn’t realize that Dainsleif is right behind her and waiting for her to be worn out. As rukkhadevta’s legs give out from under her and she worries she will drop Nahida, Dainsleif catches both her and her baby. He is holding them tightly in his arms. He kisses rukkhadevta on the cheek and asked if she is okay. Rukkhadevta is shocked by his gentlemanly behavior, he hasn’t changed much has he, he is more broody though. He asked rukkhadevta who is the little girl and when she tells him that it’s their baby, he gets wide eyed. This adorable little sprout is his daughter. She is so little. He needs to protect her. He is keeping the two in his arms. They aren’t heavy so he will carry them and you cannot stop him.
Anastasia or the Tsarista after separating from little group get confronted head on with Pierro. Anastasia is shocked that her husband looks the same after all the years. She starts crying as it becomes too much. Before Pierro can say anything, Zandik comes to his mother’s defense. He is worried about his mother and that is the only thing he cares about right now. He doesn’t realize Pierro is his father because he never met him despite hearing stories about him from his mother. So all he sees is this old man making his Mather cry and does something about it. Pierro is just trying to get to Anastasia but Zandik isn’t letting him. Anastasia is calling off her son. Pierro asks her who is the young man she is with and she is crying as she tells her husband that it’s their son. Pierro is stone faced on the outside but he is extremely happy on the inside. Before Anastasia was kidnapped, they were trying for children and pierro thought that they would remain childless but he has a son! He is so happy. He is hugging his wife and new found son. Zandik is trying to not blue screen. Oh my archons, he attacked his own father. He feels bad. He does try to apologize but Pierro doesn’t mind as he is proud of his son defending his mother.
Zhongli is looking for Xiao. He is powerful and is more than willing to die for his family. When he senses Hroptatyr on the ground as soon as he steps foot on the island. He has missed his love for 500 years so of course his gnosis is able to recognize his Hro. He is hunting him down. Hroptatyr doesn’t have to look too hard as zhongli out of nowhere grabbed him. They share a few kisses. The two then start walking to Xiao. Xiao is panicking as he doesn’t notice what is going on. He is shocked when Hroptatyr grabbed him into a hug.he is happy because both of his dads are with him again and won’t leave him.
Capitano finds Mavuika on the shore. She doesn’t recognize him with his face covered. She draws her weapon, and starts to attack him. He is blocking her attacks. He drop kicked her and finally got her on the ground. When she is down and waiting for her death, Capitano picks her up and removes his mask, her thrain is here. He gives her a little kiss and tells her that he knows she would be impulsive and attack him first. She apologizes and he accepts.
All of the khaeriahn are slowly getting their little families back to the village. Some of the kids don’t want to go because they are attacked to the island and it’s their only home. They are getting carried by their parents to the ships. Each khaeriahn has a room in the ship so they are taking their families there. Some rooms are talking, some are crying and some are quiet as they only need silence and an embrace to reconnect. The ship is heading to Fontaine harbor. The kids are amazed by the ship and Fontaine as they haven’t experienced anything like it before. The dragons are very happy that the archons are back and can rule. They are never complaining about their authorities again, they don’t want to work or do paperwork again. They are going back to doing nothing. Neuvillette is very welcoming to focalors and her family. The families are settling in.
Focalors, Vedrfolnir, and furina are getting use to the land of justice. The family has the habit of swimming and going to the beach. They also love going to the opera and furina wants to be an actress much to her father’s chagrin. The couple are planning their wedding and furina was a junior bridesmaid. Vedrfolnir after being reunited with focalors, stopped experiencing nonstop, violent visions. The visions still appear but it’s less than before.
Rukkhadevta and Dainsleif are getting engaged and they later marry. Dainsleif is a very devoted husband and father to his girls. He is carrying the two around everywhere. They are often in the library reading on a couch and messing with the garden that they built when they settle in Sumeru. Nahida becames a daddy’s girl.
Pierro is taking Anastasia and Zandik to snezheyha. He had been taking care of it the best he could, without her. Zandik is loving the snow since he never experienced it before, his mama’s powers and his powers don’t count. He is excited when his father promised to build him a proper lab to tinker with things. He is slowly getting comfortable with Pierro and is starting to learn more about science in the other nations. He finds a lot of science lacking and is thinking of being a doctor to help people.
Columbina heads to nod krai with Rerir and tholandis. Both sinners stop the wild hunt and just want to take care of their girlfriend. Columbina takes over the island and sorts everything out, the nation is thankful. Rerir and tholandis proposed to her in a field of Lilies and moon orchids. After she said yes, the two grabbed her and she spend a good while with her fiancées in their new home. She is happy and is now planning her wedding. She doesn’t want to wait long. Her partners are happy to help.
Zhongli and Hroptatyr and Xiao are back in Liyue. They are staying in their manor and are always talking. The two men were planning on proposing to each other, without the other being aware. On the day hroptatyr proposed to Zhongli, before he could even ask the question, Zhongli grabbed a small ring box and proposed to him. So they both proposed to each other. Xiao got to watch the whole show and is questioning his fathers’ sanity but is happy for them. Xiao got officially made as hroptatry so now legally he has two dads.
Venti and his kids and wife go to mondstadt. The knights of favonius are very determined guardsmen to the family. The family live on the mountains around mondstadt and are enjoying games and music as venti is giving a new lyre to use. He is a little scared of the church and the people there so avoids them after his identity got exposed. He likes to pick up his kids even though they are bigger than him.
Capitano and Maluika headed to natlan. All of the main cast of kids like mulani, chasca and kinich are becoming kids to them. The couple have a comfortable house with a large yard for training. They enjoy a good fight to push each other to get stronger every few days. They are planning a spring wedding that they hope will be very calm and peaceful.
Ei heads to inuzuma with her family, first order of business was redecorated the old palace. Ei also is immediately going to her sister’s grave to take care of it. Wanderer and shogun are slowly getting use to their dad. They fight him a lot but enjoy their new older sister’s company. Ei is extremely doting on Skirk and they two are close. Surtalogi and Ei have married in a small ceremony.
The archons and their family are now at peace and are ruling back to full capacity since the heavenly principles and shades are asleep. The khaeriahn refuse to acknowledge the fact that they are related to the shades. The shades are terrible so Rhinedottir didn’t fuse with Naberius as she hates the shades.
I was wondering where you would go with the whole 'Circe's Island' thing, but reading the whole thing was beyond my expectations! I mean, you had me at the Archon!MCs being basically cat nip for Khaenri'ahns. 🤣
Also, another thing I liked was the mention of the Dragons reviving during all this and they're all like, nope, you can have the position to rule back! We hate paperwork, lol. 🤣🤣
