Thomas: I'm proud of you.
Lucas: Eh.. you are?
Thomas: For standing up for yourself. Putting your foot down.
Lucas: Even if it cost you your job?
Thomas: Yeah, it was only a good job because it was you I was driving.
He looked to the side of him, two bags, mostly filled with his clothing, but also the pictures he had. Munchie was at home, and he had told Thomas to go to the only place he could think off, not like he could just show up at the family's doorstep. But River's words were in the back of his head, that the shelter would always have room.
Thomas: I think they're not open yet.
The familiar building came into view, it was very early still, but it was the only place he could think to go
Lucas: It's okay, I'll just wait here.
Thomas: Are you sure?
Lucas: Yes.
He had almost thought there would be fans there, but he realized they probably wouldn't think him to be here this soon, he of course would just hid in the back until the others came, hopefully they would allow him to stay with them. For the first time since he could remember, he was on his own. No orphanage, no band, just him. In a very odd way it felt like being an orphan again, standing on a doorstep, hoping to be taken in.
Thomas: Stay in touch?
Lucas: I will. Hey, who knows, I might need a driver again someday..
He heard a chuckle as he was helped outside the car, then watching him drive off. He knew he would be in contact with the man, and he would make sure he didn't suffer economically because of him it was the least he could do.
Lucas: A home for unwanted and outcasts..
He went around back, finding a secluded spot on the back porch. Sitting there he realized he should call River, taking out his phone only to realize it was dead, completely drained of power.
Lucas: Great... -he sighed, looking at his bags.- Hopefully it won't be too long a wait..
He sat down on the outside sofa, one he had spent much time cuddling cats and brushing dogs, hoping that River would be there soon, and that no one else would look for him back there. His mind going over the things that had happened, making him glow a fairly deep blue without him realizing it. He really had ruined everything now.
