varian, you have more of an excuse to solely be afraid— yeah, the about-to-die thing, i know, and i’m sorry about that— but we can work something else in there, can’t we? a pleading look. betrayal. anger! did you always see this coming, or does this come as a shock to you? with the context of the episode, i’m guessing it’s the latter, but i want to see the emotions that go with the shock! you’re not ever gonna bring this guy up again, so we need to make this count!

what if we alluded to some inside joke you two have? not in a silly “remember that time when—” way, but more of an “i thought you were never mean, right, andrew?”

stoppppppp i love a man filled with regret over his actions and it's too late for him to do anything about it. he knows what he put memory loss reader through. he knows how she sounds when she's crying into her pillow late at night. he knows how big and wet her eyes get when he yells at her about some random thing that set him off. he knows the kids love her and even the maids weep because their lady was so sweet to them and he knows you were a ray of sunshine at summerhall lighting up the entire place (even though you were dying inside because the one person you're trying so hard to please hates you) and everyone there even when he was ignoring you and taking out his frustrations on you... and now he knows he should have been so much nicer to her... he just never knew how to start and now it's too late...

#nightmare comparing him to his father is crazy. because like #i don’t think dorian is even aware that he compares himself to halward #he always tries to insist that halward is better than he probably actually is. ‘he’s a good man deep down’ etc #and it’s entangled with his own worries about whether he’s a good person. always trying to do the right thing. to be the good tevinter #to help others wherever he can and apologize for his missteps and learn from experiences he doesn’t understand #all things that halward never does. he doesn’t apologize to dorian. he doesn’t try to change anything in tevinter. and i think dorian knows #that halward is not as good of a person as he’s tried to convince himself that he is. and that scares him #because he works so hard to be good. but what if it’s not enough? what if he’s just lying to himself like he does about his father?#he so desperately wants to be different than halward. wants to be better. and accepting that halward is just like all the other magisters #really opens up the fear of him being just like them too. which is so mortifying that he can’t face it #nightmare yanks it out from the depths of his soul. you could turn out just like him. how are you different? what makes you better?#his greatest fear is temptation. he fears giving in to the easier option. he fears that he won’t be strong enough to stick to his principle #because taking the path of least resistance just leaves things as they are. is halward really a good man if he never takes the hard road?#‘he taught me principle is important.’ but he was a hypocrite. he betrayed his principles because it was easier #than doing the right thing. and dorian is terrified more than anything else that he’ll follow in halward’s footsteps #argh.#doyou know wgat i’m saying. there’s so much here #dorian pavus #eliasposts

Alright you know what for the hell of it I am going to post multiple art posts within the span of minutes. I'm always making some sort of image. This one's about my fan continuity! I've been wanting to retouch my designs since first making them because I felt they could use more character and better fit their characterization within DS.

I do actually have quite a bit of development about Deception Shattered I'm just very shy. Argh. To put it short, DS's stating idea was about the corruption of Megatron's ideals and how it led to the Decepticons falling apart from the inside. Orion Pax and Megatron used to work together as political activists-- but Megatron got violent in response to the continuously harsh and brutal treatment lower caste Cybertronians were getting. Four million years of unchecked power and violence later, Megatron has changed from someone wanting to better his world to someone who is cruel for the sake of cruelty.

I'm sure some people who follow me have spotted that Soundwave has the autobrand instead of being a Decepticon- and that's because I wanted to play with his character some! Famously 'the most loyal Decepticon' I wanted to see what would happen if Soundwave cared more about his cassettes than anything else. (Skybound 100% influenced me here I'm not even going to pretend it didn't) He may be loyal to the Decepticons, but when Megatron starts getting what few remaining Cassettes Soundwave has left killed, he can't stay any longer. He spends a long time drifting as an unaligned Cybertronian before joining the Autobots. Other things about him, Soundwave sounds the way he does because before the war broke out he was attacked by a higher caste Cybertronian. He's almost entirely blind for a completely different reason, because Megatron plugged his brain into a Decepticon warship and it fried all of his systems. Soundwave's lucky to even be alive after that happened to him.

Some other assorted thoughts-- Ratchet might not be dead (Hooray for all yall who are distraught over my optiratch valentines art!) but certainly has been through a lot at the hands of Shockwave. Some characters who are in my roster but have yet to be designed are: Jazz, Prowl, Elita-One, Arcee, Rumble, Frenzy, Ravage, Laserbeak, Hot Rod/Rodimus, Ultra Magnus (and Minimus too), and more!

nothing makes me feel as demotivated as trying to sew on a machine. genuinely I feel like no matter how much I practice I'm in beginner sewist hell like I don't get any better at it!!!!!! i make the same mistakes over and over, and I'm constantly handsewing parts that the tutorial can do effortlessly on the machine. and like YouTubers obviously never show the part where they fiddle with clips and pins for 20 minutes so I don't know what I'm doing wrong!!!

it doesn't help that you can exactly "frog" fabric, seam ripping takes forever, and it leaves noticable damage behind.

#argh.#my pieces never line up as perfectly as the tutorials and patterns do. like they do line up but in a way that looks. rustic. ughhhhhhhhhhhh #part of my frustration is that I normally pick up skills kind of quickly so it's just. maybe I'm just not used to this lol.#i bought a fancy new machine after a couple of years with one older than me that'd never been serviced and well.#at least that fixed “my” tension issues (it was never my fault to begin with).#but I really haven't used the machine as much as I'd expected because I just get so frustrated it goes into the timeout corner for months
