#2859 - Arhopala bazalus - Powdered Oakblue
A Lycaenid butterfly found from India to Japan. The males are fairly dull, but the females have a deep violet-blue spot on the wings.

The caterpillars eat Stone Oak (Lithocarpus) leaves, and are guarded by ants. That latter association is common among the Lycaenidae. Doesn't protect the eggs from older caterpillars though, who will cut off any section of leaf with unhatched eggs on them and let them fall to the ground.
The other 200 species in the genus are found across much of Asia and down to Australia.
Aoshima, Japan.
arhopala replied to your post:idk if you still are into that sleepover friday thing, but here's a confession. i might have a huge crush on a married man
Not anon: I’ve been in love with the same person for 7.5 years and we were in a serious almost marriage type of relationship, but it didn’t work out at the time. And now, he’s getting married with twins with another woman. I understand those feels :(
Oh wow, that really sucks. I'm sorry about that. :(
Where did you get that lovely meal?! I would love to eat that right now. Looks great. I don't know where Cajun Kitchen is. :P
Assuming you're in Melbourne, Australia it's in the CBD!

I had a dream last night that I was like the mermaids from H2O and there was a beach in my old high school, so my friends and I went diving for treasure and I found some nice furniture. Haha, I know that's weird, but the whole mermaid thing reminded me of your blog.
I’ve never had a mermaid dream:’( You’re so lucky! lol That sounds like a really awesome dreamxD
