Longbox-style cardboard sleeve for the 3″ CD single (”CD³″) version of “Destination” by The Church issued by American record label Arista Records in 1988.
This is yet another CD single I had to get for the non-album b-sides. Although in this case, that was true for only one of the two: an acoustic version of their modern rock radio hit “Under the Milky Way.”
While lead track “Destination” was the third single from the band’s Starfish album, the other “b-side” here was “Tantalized,” taken from the band’s previous album, Heyday. It was all part of a reissue promotional push by Arista, as advertised on the back of the sleeve: “Heyday and the entire Church catalog are now available on chrome cassettes, records and compact discs.” As I was a huge fan of Starfish, I naturally scooped up all of those reissues. Though I was still in my tape-buying phase, so unfortunately I had re-buy all of those on vinyl later when my musical format preferences evolved.
