question, can anybody tell me what romantic love feels like?

So, for context, I recently talked to my therapist about feelings for a girl I had and I wanted to know how to know if it was queerplatonic or romantic, cause I had labeled myself as aroace and was confused about that. Problem is, a lot of the stuff I told her I imagined love to feel like is stuff she told me was either not something that happened to everybody, or were just like common sociatal depictions that I associate with romance cause it's so often depicted as connected to romantic stuff.

So, the hell does it feel like then?! Why the fuck is this so vague, and why does everybody else still seem to just ✨️know✨️ what romantic love feels like?

Growing up aro is being so incredibly weirded out by boy bands and the way people talk about them and the way they're shown in media. Finding it all so bizarre and lowkey alienating. The way it's always centered around attraction to the boys in them. Like, why do you care? Why do the actual boys matter to you? Is nocreature else basing their boy band opinions solely off of the actual music? What is this?

Romo aro(spec) culture is being suprised when you find out people just feel romantic attraction to random people like sexual attraction, when an alloromantic friend of mine told me you can just look at a person and go "I wanna date that" I was very confused-

i think one of the biggest struggles for us aro kids is getting mixed up platonic attraction with romantic feelings, and that's why i hate this amatonormative world. i mean- even when you c l e a r l y know you don't feel something “romantic” for someone there's always this person (or little voice in your head) who says “yo... what if... you know... what if you like that person?”, then it's all a welcoming to the crisis!

what i'm trying to say is having platonic attraction sucks, bc it can get hard to know when is romantic and when is platonic. i, personally, just let it be and i ignore my feelings sometimes. well, my feelings are towards fictional characters too so... lmao.

if someone out there is having a crisis about this matter right now, it's okay, i hope you sort things out. if you don't want to sort them out for your peace's sake that's okay too! i do that pretty often actually. if you end up realizing it's romantic love, please don't feel bad, you can still be part of the community! that's why there are another labels- not just aromantic. wheter it is demi, grey or others you're still part of this community. and if you don't want to call yourself arospec then it was nice to have you here! people change, it's part of us humans.
