Jason Grace the AroAce

So, I've fallen into the Jason Grace aroace agenda. Behold canon AroAce Jason:

Canonically the only people he fell for are those he was expected in some way shape or form to fall for (*cough* Piper and Reyna *cough*)

He typically assumes platonic and assumes that others will assume that as well. (He didn't realize that Piper would assume anything romantic when he brought up Reyna as his old friend.)

Jason consistently struggles to know if he's being 'romantic enough'. He consistently fears the repercussions of failing at it. 

Piper repeatedly complains that he feels distant and not romantic enough throughout Mark of Athena (which could be related to the kid’s whole identity crisis at the time, but it could also be an aromantic just not setting off the proper ‘romantic’ vibes because he has no idea how it works. Like Romance isn’t just friendship but you kiss? What do you mean that there’re other emotions involved? But I’m doing all the steps! What am I missing?) 

Since Jason is canonically shown to have fallen in love, he is probably demiromantic or greyromantic.

Jason never shows discomfort dating or being romantic. As such, I would assume he is somewhere between romance neutral to romance positive/ favorable.

I’d like to imagine that in the universe where he had the chance to figure it out, it feels like a weight is lifted off his shoulders because that’s one less expectation he has on himself. He doesn’t bother finding a more specific label because aroace just kind of fits. He’s really happy when he finds out Reyna is Ace and the two of them bond over it. They throw tea parties and eat garlic bread together.
