CW: Talk about dom/sub dynamics, but no hornyposting or actual smut
I'm so glad more people are hopping on the dom Viktor train since season 2.
I personally headcanon Viktor as demiromantic and greysexual. Greysexual in his case meaning he enjoys sex as either a way to process emotions or become more close or intimate with a partner. And then of course demiromantic meaning he needs a significant connection before falling in love.
So I like to think that, naturally, he is dominant. (And in his case usually also a top) He uses sex at first as just a way to relax and feel emotions, and he never wants it to turn into what he deems a serious relationship. No romance, no going home, no seeing each other for too long. It's simply an experience he enjoys.
And he's like this in relationships as well, though he uses it less to relieve stress and more to have a different sense of intimacy with his partner. He still is naturally dominant, because he prefers to keep the control. It's not necessarily that he doesn't trust his partner, he just doesn't like the idea of being vulnerable in that way.
But I think if he really truly trusted someone, he would be okay with being submissive. And I think when he is, he actually would be super unsure what to do and be very embarrassed. I think for the same reason I like sub vi, I like an occasional sub Viktor. Because it's how he not only gets more intimate with a partner but also shows them that he really trusts them and he actually really enjoys it.
