Aro terminology is needed! Human relationships are messy! Reality is always more complex than the words we have to describe it. New terms for different types of relationships and experiences are good and help us understand ourselves and each other better!

Being pressured to conform in terms of (romantic) relationships doesn't help anyone. Let people evolve at their own pace, to find themselves and to discover their true wants and needs. Society needs to chill out with getting into everyone's personal business.

Your life isn't emptier for being aro. You're fully complete on your own and your aro experience is as rich as any other. Just do what makes you happy.

You don't need to classify every individual attraction you feel.

You can feel strongly and/or softly about people without worrying if it's romantic or not. You can feel all sorts of ways about people.

If you know you're aro, you're aro. End of story.

You can allow yourself to be frustrated with your aro identity. Mourn it, if you need.

You can also allow yourself to be proud of your aro identity. And celebrate it.

The aro label exist for your needs. Treat it however you need to. Find in it what it gives you. Relief, joy, home, explanation,... Anything. You're valid.

Only you define what being aro is to you!

Don't let anyone tell you you're not "aro enough", not a "good aro", or whatever else. You know who you are. You belong.

Any guilt or shame you feel for being aro is the product of society and what it made you believe. There's nothing inherently wrong with being who you are. You are not a mistake. The society is flawed. Let's change the status quo for the better. We can be aro and proud.
