i think you're thinking of thespians. therians have a lot of overlap with the otherkin community and basically describes people who identify strongly with animals, often to the point of seeing themselves as one or wishing they were one, dressing up as one, and so on. i think you'd be into the culture. here's an excerpt from a reddit post describing their experience: "At the simplest level, a therian is an individual who identifies as a non-human animal to some degree. We know we have human bodies and brains, we just believe (and there are many different reasons why) that we aren’t quite human on the inside (metaphorically).
