Arrow Rewatch 2018 3x04: The Magician

The Good

This is Arrow's 50th episode.

Broken hearted for Nyssa. She really did love Sara. My shipper heart is gutted.

Nyssa to Laurel 'that jacket, I gave it to Sara as a gift. You are not fit to wear it.' Boom!

'He has the right to avenge his daughter.' Nyssa talking all kinds of sense in this episode.

Regarding Felicity's tracer program, 'she told me an idiot could run it.'

'I'll try not to take that personally.' Do her proud, Dig.

Oliver tells Thea that Malcolm is alive. But now she's the one keeping secrets.

'My father may be the Demon, but yours is the Devil.' Good line.

Nyssa punching Oliver was badass. Sorry not sorry.

Felicity! She was off visiting Barry, but even when she's just on the show for a second she makes it better. I really missed her. So did Oliver, if his heart eyes were anything to go by.

The Bad

I found myself agreeing with Laurel for parts of this episode. Knowing what we know happens with Malcolm, I seriously wish they'd killed him back then.

Malcolm's plan to kill Sara was illogical. He even says so himself.

Thea keeping secrets.

Oliver is so naive when it comes to Merlyn. When John is for killing someone, it's probably for the best.

'He's under my protection.' Wtf?

This is what happens when Felicity leaves town, Oliver makes bad decisions. Felicity needs to never leave again.

Not enough Felicity. It's the 50th episode, she should've been a part of it.

Poor Lance. He still doesn't know his daughter is dead. I'm going to keep writing this until he finds out.

Thea calling Malcolm Dad makes my skin crawl.

Introducing Ras Al Ghul

'Oliver Queen courts war with us.'

Rating: ☆☆☆1/2 frustrating and illogical episode. Not enough Felicity.

Arrow Rewatch 2018: 3x04

Quick Thoughts

- This is the episode without Felicity as she is gone to The Flash - for the record I don’t approve of episodes without Felicity, I don’t think it happens again Season 6

- My heart breaks for Nyssa

- Malcolm Merlyn is alive!

- We learn about ghost ink!

- Laurel playing her father to get info is just WRONG. 

- Love how Nyssa just does her own thing - always. I’m rather surprised she didn’t just tell Lance that Sara was dead

- Oliver and Diggle are missing Felicity

- That conversation between Malcolm and Oliver was rather intense

- Thea is now the one lying - so interesting to see the shoe on the other foot

- Hong Kong Oliver bribing a child using height...pretty smart

- The shot of Thea hanging upside down is TOO FUNNY!

- Oliver, Nyssa and Malcolm fighting is pretty amazing - not near as dark as those in S6

- And so it begins - Oliver not killing Malcolm and putting him under his protection

- Oh Felicity it is so nice to see you!!

- Love that we find out the background on Feyer’s and the target of the commercial plane

- The reveal or Ras al Ghul - and he’s just nasty to Nyssa - not a fan

- STILL no shirtless Oliver

Season 3 tally - 0/4 episodes with shirtless Oliver…just saying, I’m taking note. For reasons…

Trip Down Memory Lane #29

It’s no secret that Season 6 of Arrow is leaving me beyond miserable - but now with the showrunner change I have the tiniest bit of hope. However, I still need cheering so I’m remembering times when Arrow made me happy. There was a whole lot of happy and good before I had my heart broken.

Why's Roy always doing unnecessary flips? 😭😭😭

He took more time jumping up onto that car to do a flip than it would've taken him to just get out in front of Thea. And then he immediately got shot, because he was too busy doing a flip to defend himself 😭😭😭

Nyssa just did the thing the League does, where they come down from a high place with that wrap thingy (that's a terrible explanation, but if you know, you know), but she did it outside, in an open street. Where did she come from? 😭😭😭
