Taiana has a really interesting role in the flashbacks. She’s not a mentor, she’s not someone to keep him grounded. She’s the one standing next him on the ledge telling him to jump. She doesn’t like, she doesn’t think he’s a good person, and she lets him know this, and she plans on using him to help her free the prisoners and she wants Oliver to sell his soul to do it. “You think killing Conklin will turn you into a monster again? Good. It takes a monster to fight monsters.” She thinks Oliver’s unsaveable so she will push him to be whatever monster she needs. She herself is sort of a compassionate, hero to the people. But she’s the one who pushes Oliver straight into the arms of the Bratva.
