After almost six seasons,
After watching the stupid shit Oliver did in season 3, betraying his team for Ra’s Al Ghul,
After watching the horribleness of season 4, from the very bland flashbacks, to the overdoneness of Damien Darhk, to the contrived breakup of Olicity, to killing Laurel Lance,
After watching the amazingness redemption of season 5, including the second most amazing villain on Arrow with Prometheus, and watching Oliver finally at peace with himself,
After watching NTA’s complete pettiness and childishness and overall sense of entitlement this seasons,
After watching what was the WORST episode Arrow has ever done about the WORST villian Arrow has ever had last episode,
And now this fucking episode,
I can officially say that I AM SO DONE WITH THIS SHIT!
I am so glad the showrunners are leaving after this season because season 6 has been a complete rehash of the same storylines we’ve been watching for the last five seasons. I am so done with everything and everyone being upset with Oliver, when literally compared to half the shit he’s pulled in this series, he’s basically done NOTHING in season 6 to deserve this shit.
And now the writers are trying to tell me again that Oliver is the problem. That the rest of the team is perfectly fine handling Diaz and working together. But Oliver and his leadership is why he can’t fight Diaz?!?!?!
AND I’M SO DONE WITH HAVING TO WATCH OTA KEEP APOLOGIZING TO NTA!!!! I’M SO DONE!!! AFTER ALL THE SHIT THAT NTA PULLED AND THEY HAVE YET TO APOLOGIZE?!?!?!?! AND WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE THAT NTA ARE IN THE RIGHT?!?!? GET OUTTA HERE WITH THIS SHIT!!!!!
I am done watching people tell me how scary Diaz is when we’ve watched Team Arrow defeat Merlin, Slade, Ra’s, Darhk, AND Prometheus, AND Cayden James, ALL of whom were much scarier to watch on screen than this Diaz person. I’m laughing at the ridiculousness of watching Black Siren talk about how scared she is when she could put Diaz into the ground in literally two seconds. Plus, this is the woman that paired herself with fucking Zoom, a psychopathic serial killer who had the speed of a god, and you’re telling me that Diaz is scarier than Zoom?!?!?! Did you writers forget about this?!
I mean, I know it’s Flash, and it’s a different show, but you brought over a character that originated on Flash, so if you’re gonna do that, you need to remember Black Siren’s backstory. Watching Zoom do this to Barry, and stop a projectile dart is way more scary than watching Diaz light a guy on fire.
And while I’m on that note, I’m so done with Quentin continuing to do shit for Black Siren and continuing to get shot in the back, AND THEN GIVING HER ANOTHER CHANCE TO SCREW HIM OVER!!!! JESUS CHRIST HOW MANY CHANCES CAN A PERSON HAVE?!?!?! SHE’S NOT LAUREL QUENTIN! STOP TREATING HER LIKE SHE IS!!!!
I’m tired of the writers writing down Oliver’s skill set to match the people he’s fighting. This man has so much more martial arts training in the last 10 years than Diaz has his entire life, at least from what we’re shown. Like you wanna do a fucking backstory on the Dragon? Show us how he became the Dragon in the first place instead of giving us this stupid side plot with a made up criminal organization that’s conveniently written in after NO MENTIONS in almost 6 seasons. (AND WHO THE FUCK ARE THE SCORPIONS?!?!?)
How can you expect your audience to take your villain seriously when all you’ve shown about him is that he’s a thug that hated being bullied? How am I supposed to take the Quadrant seriously if they allow a man to come in and kill one of their own with no repercussions? “Oh it’s so much more easier conducting business now that the police are gone.”
OF COURSE IT’S FUCKING EASIER YOU DUMB FUCKS. But if you’re seriously this big bad secret criminal organization, WHY WOULD POLICE BE A FUCKING ISSUE ANYWAY? THEY’D BE A NUISANCE AT BEST!
And am I really supposed to believe that Oliver would be brought down by a SINGLE KNIFE WOUND?!?!?! I’VE WATCHED THIS MAN GET FUCKING DESTROYED BY MERLIN AND GO UP AGAINST A MIRAKURU-ENHANCED FORMER ASIS OPERATIVE. THIS MAN HAS SURVIVED BEING STABBED BY THE DEMON’S HEAD AND FALLING OFF A FUCKING CLIFF, AND YOU’RE TELLING ME THAT HE CAN’T CONTINUE FIGHTING AFTER A FEW PUNCHES AND A WOUND FROM A SMALL BLADE?!?!? NOT TO MENTION HE HAD DIAZ’S HEAD IN HIS ARMS IN HIS FAVORITE POSITION TO SNAP HIS NECK AND HE DIDN’T TAKE IT? AFTER ALL THAT TALK ABOUT GOING BACK TO BASICS? SEASON ONE OLIVER WOULDN’T HAVE HESITATED TO SNAP DIAZ’S NECK!
The ONLY bright side to this episode was seeing Anatoly and Oliver interact because their friendship has been a highlight on the show for me. And it seems like Anatoly will switch sides before this series is over, so yay, but honestly this season has been such a fucking disappointment (even with Roy coming back for a couple of episodes) that I’m just... fast forward to season 7 cause I’m done with this season.
And what’s really sad is that this storyline that they are forcing down our eyes this season would have make perfect sense back in season 3! I would have loved to have seen this season with Season 3 Oliver, cause that Oliver was making mistakes and was separating himself from his team, and had communication problems, and leadership problems, and all of that. And, he was also under threat of prison because Quentin was going hard on his ass. And he was only Arrow at the time, not Green Arrow, so he hadn’t fully earned his hero status with the public just yet. This storyline would have been perfect.
But now? After all the character growth from seasons 4 and 5? After watching him already alienate and then have to earn back the trust of his teammates? After watching him learn how to fully trust his team and give into love? Like we’re really supposed to believe that Diggle leaves the team because Oliver wants to keep the suit after he forgave and continued working with Oliver after he kidnapped Lyla? We’re really supposed to believe that after all the times Oliver said how much he relies on Felicity that he just goes and fires her like that? Even when she’s been the only person standing next to him multiple times?
And speaking of Felicity, where was she this entire episode?! The best she gets is a tagged on scene where she watches her husband get arrested? And she’s not immediately rushing to the bunker to see how she can get him out?!?!?!
Nope. I’m done. I’m seriously done with this season. I’m not gonna sit and watch you writers completely destroy your characters for the sake of some stupid plot. I’ll probably watch the finale (or at least read a recap) so I can know what sets up next season, but I’m not watching the rest because I have never been more frustrated with this show. My patience is gone.
See ya’ll in season 7, and I can only hope with new showrunners they can get it back to the levels of seasons 2 and 5 because this season has been a clusterfuck. Like I think I want season 4 back that’s how bad it feels.
