Arsonist's Lullaby
My unhinged blarbos
Re-read KOTLC for the eight time and got myself re-obessed with Arsonist's Lullaby, which means fanart. These are designs for the characters in my AU :D
Hozier is a literal insane person because wdym the lyrics "don't you ever tame your demons, but always keep 'em on a leash" is on a fucking bonus track
Fandoms so small we could fit on a bus:
Moment's Silence (Common Tongue)
To Noise Making (Sing)
Blood Upon The Snow
In The Woods Somewhere
To Someone From A Warm Climate
Run
Arsonist's Lullaby
Sedated
Dare I add That You Are and Jackboot Jump?
If you know and love these songs HELLO HI
Remembering Jason thinking a WASP, a Jew, and a Chinese woman could all be his bio mother again. What in the hell did Willis Todd look like.
Top 2 perfectly timed comedic moments in The Resident, in no particular order:
The time three quarters of poorly cut Arsonist's Lullaby (slow song) played over an action packed car chase and as it faded out the car fucking exploded (season 2)
The time Cain was helping car crash victims in the road and stood up and immediately got hit by a fucking ambulance going approximately 300 miles an hour and went flying (season 4)
Wait why is Hozier more popular than ever and yet I haven't seen anybody mention or heard play "Arsonist's Lullabye" like, ever, since he's become popular - I just searched it up to check it WAS him bc I don't associate it with Popular Musician Hozier at all. Back in the mid 2010s there were some banger video edits to that song.
As a crazy awesome writer who writes amazingly in-depth characterizations (read the Arsonist's Lullaby: An Azula Timeloop Quest; super duper incredible; kept getting lost on the website, but that's a skill issue on my end), I have to ask,
If Azula had a customer voice, when would be the funniest time to use it?
Thank you for the praise!
I was tempted to say "only when talking to Sokka one-on-one, because nobody would ever believe him", but I think my answer is actually "whenever Iroh tries to ask her something", specifically because unlike most of the people around them in most social situations, Iroh has worked in customer service.
He would recognise what she's doing, what it means, what it implies about their relationship, and be wholly unable to actually bring it up to anyone because on the outside it sounds like she's being polite and trying to get along with him to almost everyone—
—except to Zuko, possibly the only other person in their social circle who has also worked in customer service.
And I gotta be real, in this hypothetical version of the world where their relationship has wholly stabilised I think Zuko would find it at least a little funny and probably only half-heartedly scold her to stop.
