emulation painting project!

in this I was trying to emulate the style of Frederick Childe Hassam, an impressionist painter I greatly admire. He works almost exclusively with landscapes, especially those by the ocean. 

It was very challenging for me, not color wise, but brush stroke wise, to try and get it looking right. Overall though, I put a lot of effort into making this piece look good.

Today’s practice ... I am emulating other artists. so the composition is not mine, It’s a copy; so I cannot take any credit for anything but the penciling. but I am hoping to learn new techniques as I a working on some client projects. I will post the roughs like I usually do.
