It was warm out, the fall sun shined down nicely on the garden in front of your fathers house. you were alone, he was at some work related thing down in Saint Denis. he had asked if you wanted to come with him, but you firmly declined; you hated that damn city more than words could ever describe - though you did like the local tailor there. you were sat in the old rocking chair on the patio, the wood creaking softly as you swayed in it gently, a book in one hand, glass in the other. you were reading some new romance novel, engrossed in the corny love story, secretly dreaming of being swept away by a handsome stranger yourself - if you only hadn't been so loud mouthed.
The wind was picking up slightly, leaves flying around and wind rustling through the branches, a little too loud to hear the approaching trampling of hooves walking through your mothers flower bed. you didnt hear the heavy, slow steps that crept up the small staircase, not even noticing when the man chuckle. only once he got his hands on you you noticed, but it was already too late then. one big, calloused hand clamped down over your mouth, the other arm snaked around you to hold your arms to your body tightly, containing your struggles without breaking a sweat. "Calm down now, it ain't no use now." a voice murmured into your ear lowly, the grip around you tightened even more. you kept struggling, trying to free your arms, swatting at whatever you could reach with your hands and kicking your feet, but it was no use. The man held your back against his chest, dragging you around the corner of the house between some tall grass that your fathers gardner hadn't cut down yet, pushing you onto the ground.
You tried to crawl away, a boot on your lower back stopped you rather quickly. big hands were quick to hogtie you, fingers prodding at your skin to make sure the ropes weren't too tight - he needed you unharmed, for now. you were still pulling on the ropes, squirming, but the effort was dying down, adrenaline was subsiding and got replaced by the fear slowly creeping up on you. you turned your head back to at least try and see who on earth was doing this, if it was one of those O'Driscolls that your father had warned you about or god knows who - but the man who looked down at you looked oddly familiar. dirty, blond hair, uneven stubble and little scars scattered all over his face. his lips were parted, hat pushed up just enough so he could see what he was doing, just enough to catch your gaze with a grin.
"finally decided to be good?" he asked lowly, tilting his head a bit. he crouched down next to your head, holding eye contact. "smart." his eyes wandered over your bound form for a moment, admiring his own handiwork, he always had a knack for ropework. he let out a soft little sigh, shaking his head. "hope those ropes are comfortable, darlin'. we got a bit of a ride ahead of us." with that he stood up, rolling his shoulders back for a moment before bending down and picking you up, throwing you over his shoulder. one arm wrapped around your hips to keep you steady, the other patting your ass firmly before he started walking. your eyes widened at the touch, your face grew hot, hands balling into fists; he ignored the slight tension in your body. with a quiet groan he put you onto the back of his horse, then climbed up into the saddle himself, taking a moment to look around before riding towards the closeby forest. "hold on tight now." he chuckled lowly. "and don't you worry, we're gonna be real nice to you until your daddy pays up." he glanced back at you over his shoulder. "and I'm sure we'll find a way to keep you entertained.."
