If you want to praise an artist, don’t tell them that they are talented. Instead, say that their artwork is passionate and inspiring. ‘Talented’ like a shrug, as if you were saying that it was easy for them to get that good at creating something. But being passionate is always a praise, because they are that. They spend every waking hour doodling and drawing and painting and sulpting and writing; practicing. And eventually they become ‘talented’
