bestie i've been an artuk stan since day one

he's just seemed so cute and so sweet from like the little snippet we saw of him in the one fic and if it wasn't for me being a complete slut for tsu'tey i wouldv'e been rallying for the reader to just choose artuk.

just the idea of him bring us fruit and how he wasn't intimidated by tsu'tey and omfg his line " you have very gentle hands" cjdsdbffjhebdkfs it just does something to me

i just imagine that after all his hard work to be seen as an adult in the eyes of the people and all the effort he's put in to fixing their home, he just so badly wants someone soft and gentle who's able to focus on him and take care of him

and ofc its a little human medic who's good at healing and doesn't make fun of him for his silly little injuries and he doesn't care who else has their eyes on you cause he's just absolutely smitten by the mere idea of having a soft, caring, human mate

Who was Artuk Bey from Diriliş Ertuğrul?

Artuk Bey was a real person but his depiction in the series Diriliş Ertuğrul like quite a number of others in the show, is one where a historical personality is being mentioned/being paid homage to rather than an accurate historical representation of the historical personality/ the time period in which they lived in.

Not much is known is about Artuk Bey’s personal life but we know that he had two sons by the names of Sökmen and Ilghazi I who both - 11 years after Artuk passed away (1102 CE) - later went on to found the Artuqid Dynasty which they named after him.

The actual Artuk Bey was known as Zaheer-ul-Daulah Artuk Bey and was an 11th century commander of the Great Seljuk Sultanate.

He participated in the famous Battle of Manzikert/Malazgirt against the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman Empire) in the year 1071 CE (during the reign of Sultan Alp Arslan).

He was also said to have later been appointed as the Seljuk Governor of Jerusalem.
