hi im the anon who sent the message about a3 staying with each other in wm~ thank you for your input esp about sandeul, because even though he is my ult, i gotta admit that i dont know him Too well yet, especially since i only started stanning him december 2017; so hearing from a longtime fan who knows him better made me learn stuff. the point you made about gongchan though got me thinking again. i remember i was talking to a friend after the "schism" and they said that they thought (1)

(2) gongchan would follow where his members go (esp sandeul). it must be really tough for him rn because he loves his hyungs so much. he hasn’t really posted again, hasn’t really done his usual gaming lives. hasn’t tweeted to banas much either. i just aaaa i just want him to be happy, but like most of your anons, i think he’s in that same place of hurt. it makes me even sadder :(((3) i just keep thinking about those photos channie posted of the 5 little birds and their 5 toothbrushes before :(((( he loves ot5 a lot. and i love him a lot. and i just want him to be happy :(

Even with you being a newer fan, I think you’re really perceptive with them though! I’d agree with everything you and your friend think. Gongchan isn’t one to venture far from his comfort zone; the few times we’ve seen him on his own (Hosting AS4U, his ‘Delicious Love’ short web series, his short appearance stint on that Gamer Show) he’s always seemed a bit awkward and uncomfortable. Which is a shame, because he’s actually super witty and funny, but he needs his members or close friends there to help him break out of his shell, because despite his humor and quirkiness, he is quite shy. If you watch the AS4U episode where his members come on as guests, it’s so apparent how much he lights up once they’re there with him 😢

He’s also not the most confident person either, which doesn’t help in this situation. Which on one hand, may seem like a contradiction because he makes his sassy comments and he knows he handsome and ya know, shit like that but… I think in terms of meeting new people, in terms of his career, his voice, etc., while he’s gained some confidence since their debut, I’d say he’s overall still not comfortable with himself in those areas.

The reason why I’m kinda going into all this (besides to explain to you as a newer fan) is because it all starts making sense on why he chose to stay with WM. Like I said before, I think you and your friend are right; Gongchan, likely due to how he feels about himself (and of course how he feels about them), would choose 100 times over to stay with his members rather then go out on his own somewhere else. And especially because he is (IMO) the closest with Sandeul and CNU, it just makes sense he is gonna stay where he feels the most comfortable, and the most loved. Shindeul always doted on him, and very obviously adore him, so I’m honestly glad he has them moving forward. Jinyoung did at times dote on him too, but Gongchan’s relationship with Shindeul was certainly more obvious.

Gongchan’s a sensitive individual, who cares very deeply so unfortunately he is probably is the most affected by the split. I hope we get to see more of him soon, though of course, it’s important that he moves at his own pace with it all!
