I mean... Metallic taste isn't even that bad. I bet brownies made with blood would taste pretty alright
Well, I think it balances out the sweetness!
Since I have nothing better to do, here's the recipe I tend to use!!! I tend to eyeball it most of the time though.
Ingredients!
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
⅔ cup vegetable oil, divided
½ cup boiling water
2 cups white sugar
2 large eggs or 130g of fresh blood
1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt
Remember to preheat your oven to 350°F! (Or, 175 degrees °C) Grease and flour a baking pan. (I use a 9x13-inch pan but you can use what you have :D)
Mix in your cocoa and baking soda together in a large bowl. Make sure the two powders are thoroughly blended!
Stir in your boiling water and 1/3 cup oil until well blended and thickened. This might take a bit of elbow grease!
Stir in sugar, your remaining 1/3 cup oil, and your eggs / blood. Mix in flour, vanilla, and salt just until flour is absorbed. You can add in any nuts/chocolate chips at this stage as well!
Spread evenly into the prepared pan. Pop that sucker in your preheated oven and bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. (This takes around 35 to 40 minutes.) Remember to let it cool!
