Asher didn't know what he thought when he heard the news. He just sat there, pondering. No, not pondering. Pondering wasn't the right word. He was just... he was just thinking. He didn't know what he was thinking about exactly but he was certainly thinking.
Dovey couldn't die. He just couldn't let that happen. They hadn't talked in at least six years now, probably longer, but he still remembered the nervous smile on her face the first time they talked. She was good with people, she always was, but she was always nervous too. Elreshi, he missed her.
No, he wouldn't let her die. He just had to figure something out and he knew just where to start.

Also I know I already had a turn, so only if you want: Asher and 🤓?
I...uh...this one got away from me.
@nobody-is-typing the man is a whole fuckin’ problem.
Caregiver has been sitting at the bedside of a stoic/stubborn whumpee for hours. Caregiver sighs - Whumpee is barely conscious, under the influence of heavy pain meds, and who knows if they’d even want Caretaker there? Caretaker rises and turns to go, but Whumpee unexpectedly reaches out and grabs their arm.
“Whumpee -? What is it? What do you need?"
"Are you really gonna make me say it?" Whumpee groans.
Caregiver bites back a smile and sits back down. "Nah, you're fine. I'll stay."
thinking about a whumpee who can't even put into words what they've experienced/what they're feeling paired with a patient gentle caretaker who is happy to just sit quietly with them
