The other comment suggestion (thanks @randomrobin !) for a reptile laguz was a crocodile/alligator type, so here's a concept for that! Introducing Patra and Fang, the crocodile laguz:
Like the turtles, they also live on the reptile colony in Gallia, but a lot of these guys have been petitioning to be allowed into Goldoa... I have a feeling they'd be too rowdy for the dragons, don't you? ;)
Our "Alternative Laguz" poll is over and the winner was a tie between a fish and a reptile (based on tags and comments, a fish and a turtle). So here we have our first concept drawing - Rute the Tiger Shark laguz!
Rute hails from the kingdom of Piscora - a chain of tiny islands that weave around Phoenicis and Kilvas. Her school of shark and fish laguz plague merchant and military ships in the waters south of Begnion... while the Phoenician hawks are the "sky pirates", they lurk in the seas below! >:)
Rute was a lot of fun to draw and I hope you all enjoy her too! Many more alternative laguz are on the way so stay tuned!

Our other winner of the Alternative Laguz poll was a reptile - specifically, a turtle! (Shout-out to @imjustawaffle and @vellatra for the poll commentary!) This is Gadon the Snapping Turtle:
Gadon is a soldier from a small reptilian community on the Gallian shoreline. During peacetime, he's usually stationed on the beach to keep an eye on buried nests and protect young turtle children from would-be predators.
This concludes our first-place winners in the poll, but there were a lot of fun ideas and I will be drawing many more of them, probably in order of highest demand. Enjoy! And thank you all for your fun suggestions!

This is Kero, a young frog girl growing up in the remote shallows of the Ribahn River. She and the other frogs tend to keep to themselves, and spend most of their time chasing flies - and getting into scuffles with their rivals, the Slug Laguz....
These concepts have been so much fun to draw; more are on the way!
