What would Jack and Davey do on a road trip?

jack would love the idea of roadtrips. gets real excited, has a bunch of snacks, several playlists, car games.

then falls asleep in less than an hour into the trip.

davey only likes roadtrips if he’s driving. because he can’t read without feeling sick. so the moment he learned to drive, he became (unofficially) the roadtrip driver

I want to know what David does after discovering the painting is gone, which means jack is alive. Does he tell anyone? Does he go looking for him?

the only thing that would stop davey hunting down jack would be death.

he tells katherine, spot and race about the significance behind the painting and how up until then, only he and jack knew the value of. the others are understandably skeptical. why wait so many years between taking jack and then the painting. but davey is of a one track mind and reopens the investigation, determined to find his fiancé
