PJO AU Bios
Since the other characters eligible for this AU pretty cleanly fit into the Greek mold, I’ll quickly go over their parentage and nature for this universe.
Jake: A son of Apollo, Jake tends to specialize in the musical and sonic elements of his father. He likes to keep people’s spirits up with his music, which usually involves an old accordion. If he is forced to fight he prefers a xiphos, which he is better at than one might think.
Lindsey: Jake’s cousin in this universe, she is a daughter of Hecate. Possibly the sunniest witch one could imagine, she loves using her magic to help, heal, and entertain her fellow campers. She also loves conversing with the various magical entities around camp. In combat she usually counts on her magic.
Ming: A daughter of Athena, to say Ming seems rather cold would be both an understatement and a terrible thing to comment to her face. For hers was not a happy journey to Camp Half Blood: she was found hiding in a shallow grave in the dead of winter from a deadly monster, and still has missing fingers and scars from the frostbite. While she has a complicated relationship with her mother due to that day, none can deny her prowess in strategy and battle. Her weapons of choice are a pair of bladed cestuses.
Victoria: Daughter of Hades and adopted older sister of Isaac, Victoria is infamous for a troublemaking party-girl attitude, often getting her skeletons and ghosts involved in her shenanigans. Her weapon of choice is a Stygian iron knife.
Isaac: A son of Hades, Isaac was bounced around from foster home to foster home before meeting up with Victoria and making for Camp Half Blood, he is the opposite of his adopted older sister. Physically imposing yet quiet, he just tries to not make too many waves around camp, mostly due to the fact that he thinks his powers are too dangerous for him to wield safely. In combat he wields a broad Stygian kopis.
Kiera: A daughter of Aphrodite, Kiera grew up in a highly restrictive household. Now relatively free, she relishes in her newfound abilities and lack of parental oversight, teasing the more serious members of the camp relentlessly. If she is forced into combat she prefers a bow.
Dom: A son of Ares, Dom has a fairly carefree attitude among his half-siblings. So long as he can fight, sleep, and eat in the same day, he is quite the happy camper. He also loves telling people about Australian wildlife and making them guess if the animal is mythical or real. He prefers a spear and shield in combat.
Moshe: A son of Haephestus, Moshe is more of a tinkerer than a blacksmith. While he doesn’t have the physical power of some of his peers, he is an unmached machinist, commanding a small army of automatons ranging from small frog-like assistants to armed bodyguards. When fighting he likes to use a modified compound bow with engineered trick arrows.
Riley: Another daughter of Hecate, Riley is an expert alchemist and is obsessed with refining her craft. Many times she slips her cocktails into people’s snacks to observe their effects, usually with benign or funny results. She also has a bad habit of hoarding ingredients. She has a sling from which she often hurls her potions.
Lisa: Cousin of Dom and daughter of Demeter, nothing makes Lisa happier than watching things grow. Though sickly to the point where she’s unofficially banned from joining quests, she is an expert plant manipulator and is often found growing fruits and vegetables for campers whose familiar foods are far away. If she has to fight, she uses her xylomantic abilities.
Stacey: A human who can see through the Mist, Stacey is hell bent on exposing this whole demigod nonsense. Though her cameras often fail her, she is still focused on making sure the world at some point knows about the empowered individuals who walk amongst humanity.
Madison: a daughter of Asclepius, Madison is so very very tired of demigods milling about getting hurt all the time. Blunt and willing to resort to extreme measures to get demigods to sit still and get better (including slugging them in the solar plexus), she is nonetheless an astounding junior physician. While seldom in combat, she has been known to use her snake-wrapped staff to great effect.
PJO Verse Roll Call
Nearly done with the first book, so I feel comfortable enough making this list now. These are all the muses I feel comfortable enough to include in this particular verse (muses intimately associated with other mythologies, elements, or just don’t quite fit have gotta wait another day).
Jake: A son of Apollo, Jake’s divine attributes tend to focus much more on the musical, poetry, and prophecy side of his divine father than light or the sun. Seemingly the guy can whip out any instrument and make up songs on the spot, regardless of his state of readiness or experience with the instrument. He can also lead crowds extremely well with his music, getting them pumped up or drowsy depending on how he plays and what lyrics he uses. He’s not one for fighting, but oddly enough he’s not too bad with a bow, seemingly using sound to hone in on his targets. He also frequently has prophetic visions, echoing the likes of Tiresias, though often times he can hardly make sense of them.
Lindsey: Jake’s cousin in this verse, Lindsey is a daughter of Hecate. Though her parent is certainly infamous, Lindsey herself is about as bright a witch as one can find. She’s almost constantly out looking for ingredients for potions in the strawberry fields, the forest, even the lake at Camp Half Blood. She’s constantly giving people little charms she’s made of flowers and precious gems, which seem to work well to the point where even the badass Ares kids find themselves dangling the charms from the tips of their spears. She finds herself chatting with the naiads in the lake a lot, bartering for plants found at the muddy bottom. She really doesn’t like fighting, but she has a few hex bags prepared ahead of time just in case.
Victoria: Another occupant of Hecate’s house, Victoria takes things in a much darker direction with her powers. A seasoned spellcaster for her age, she does her best to track down any book deemed “forbidden” by the camp councilors and commits it to memory. She’s permanently banned from all contact competitions since an unfortunate capture-the-flag incident involving a plague of locusts and millions of tiny vials of sriracha sauce. Even the other hardcore witches in the Hecate coven keep their distance from her, and Haephestus’s cabin outright locks their supplies up at night to keep her from stealing them to use in her experiments.
Dominic: A son of Ares, Dominic certainly looks the part. Built like a tank since a young age, Dom is a natural warrior, and took to combat like a duck takes to water. Though fairly straightforward in his approach, he is nonetheless terrifyingly effective. While he’s somewhat less crude than his fellows, that’s saying virtually nothing. Though he is a capable fighter, more than once he has been outsmarted by the strategies of Athena’s cabin and the inventions of Haephestus’s folk.
Moshe: Moshe is a son of Haephestus, though you likely wouldn’t know it by looking at him. Wiry and dextrous, he is much more of a tinker than a forger. With time and patience, he’s managed to create some truly impressive works of clockwork technology, including a Bubo of his own and two automatons that assist him during capture the flag. He’s also been known to make little toys for the newest and youngest inductees to the camp to help lift their spirits. He’s not much of a fighter at all, but his automatons easily compensate.
Madison: A member of Hermes’s house, Madison has had something of a frustrating time. An excellent healer from a young age, it’s been her job for some time to act as the back door medic when another Hermes kid gets caught or hurt nicking something they shouldn’t have been. While outwardly extremely frustrated with her half-siblings, underneath she has an odd attachment to them, usually stating when pressed “They’re idiots, but they’re my idiots”. She’s not a combat adept, though she’s shown some proficiency with a snake patterned staff, though it’s usually used to simply bop her cabin mates on the head after they’ve confessed to some act of trickery or theft that got them hurt.
Riley: While at first glance Riley would seem like a shoe-in for Hecate or Haephestus’s cabin, but in fact she is the child of Athena. While many other Athenian kids use their planning skills for combat, Riley is content to use them for cooking, tinkering, and other ventures. She’s a bit of a jack of all trades, getting more from her mother’s wisdom than her affinity for combat. Though organized in her head, her work spaces are often cluttered with junk and scattered notes, sometimes spilling out into the workspaces of other frustrated campers. While not an outright fighter, she’s as good a strategist as any other member of her cabin, and she seems rather adept at using thrown flasks.
Runnin’ Blues
I was pretty sure I was outpacing it...
I mean, before the potion I could easily run faster, and even after it wore off, I managed to corner more quickly through the alleyways and such. I heard it bounce off of a dumpster behind me as I took another corner.
Is that the corner just behind me? Or two back? Drat. Ah well, I can just try to lead it out of the city.
It was bright today, which was wonderful. Not too many people around, at least not in the alleys, which was quite convenient actually, fewer problems.
Unfortunately my next turn brought me out near a street, and even more unfortunately there was a man there. I managed to not hit him though!
I mean, in avoiding him, I did trip over a trash can a little bit. “Oh...kay, um,” I got to my feet, looked to him and then back down the alleyway. “Do you like running? Because I would like to run with you! Away from here.”

Shaking Hands - Jake & Kai
[Text] Hello Sir, my name is Kai Andyskyd. Tobias told me to contact you.
[Text] He mentioned a test of sorts, and that I should discuss my current mentor with you.
[Text] I’m very sorry if I’m intruding, or not following protocol.

Jon’s just like
“Looks like you need an expert negotiator.”
“Also, Molly, you need to settle down.”
Alright, Rebekah. You ready to get started? (ask-the-blind-wizard)
“I don’t get why he wants me to do this,” Rebekah said. “I told him already, I took evocation classes. I know how to do this already. He just doesn’t trust me.” She was mad Jon had asked Jake to teach her. She had wanted to learn from him, but Jon had told her he wouldn’t be able to properly teach her because he cared too much for her. So he had sent her here. Where a cute blonde was pointing her at a target dummy.
“What am I supposed to do?” she asked.
I hear your pretty big on polka. (ask-the-blind-wizard)
"This is a statement of fact," Butters said, grinning. "Are you also a connoisseur of the finest music on the planet?"
