the opposite of ‘we die like men’ is ‘we survive like women’

Dragon’s breath is a collectors nickname for stones made of glass mixed with metals to induce a bi-color effect ranging from red to blue with an overall bright blue or purplish cast; flashes of color from within the stone are known as the “breath” from which the name is derived; first used in jewelry in the early 1900s to simulate fire/jelly opals.

help; my wife put on lipstick and told me to come close so she can blot the excess off. i thought she was gonna ask me for a tissue but then she just started kissing my face and now theres lipstick all over me
I love that the internet saw people comparing women and other alienated groups of people and went, “they’re dating,” and, “they support each other.” We’re improving as a society.
Does anyone know who these artists are?? They’re brilliant and I’d like to credit them!!

Can this be the new trend this year? I really love it, making non-positive art into beautiful accepting positivity. And also very gay. Love the gay.

GIVE ME THE POLY SHIP OF MY DREAMS, PEOPLE…
muse a & muse b & muse c were always a close triad of friends, banding together the first day of freshman orientation despite their different majors. and they were messy, partied their way through school, hooked up with whoever they could find. after college, the three of them got a place together and tried to get their lives together, but old habits die hard. one night, muse a gets plastered at their apartment and tries to seduce muse b, also drunk. muse c walks in late from work to the pair of them half clothed on the kitchen floor. muse c tries to move past them, but suddenly muse b is looking up at them with a devilish grin and asking them to join.
the three of them wake up in a tangle of limbs the next morning with muse c being the only one who remembers the whole evening. and it happens again. and again. and suddenly it’s not just sex, it’s muse c coming into bed with muse a. muse b making dinner, a dish that happens to be muse c’s favorite. muse a giving muse b a back massage after a rough day with nothing else happening. they fall into a relationship as easily as breathing, and it’s only when muse c nearly brings home someone else do they all see how deep their feelings go. do they go for it? have they ruined their friendship?
BONUS!!!
- muse a’s job requires them to maintain a nice, clean image, so the relationship has to be a secret.
- muse b is an artist of some sort and uses both muse a and muse c as their muses, and its starting to get obvious in their work.
- muse c’s parents are very religious, and either muse a or muse b is the same gender as they are.
Hazel Scott playing two pianos at the same damn time with ease
Hazel Scott was a musical sorcerer and a civil rights hero. She:
was admitted to Julliard at 8.
was performing in top venues by 16.
pioneered “swinging the classics” and made the equivalent of a million dollars a year doing it.
was the first person of color to have their own national TV show.
went to Hollywood but refused to be cast as a “singing maid.” Demanded and got control over her casting, her wardrobe, and how footage featuring her was cut.
refused to perform in segregated venues and led charges for integration in several northern cities, notably Spokane.
She was brought down by the House Committee on Unamerican Activities, and has been largely forgotten. But she was a sorcerer, and a hero.
@theladyragnell
Let’s un-forget her.
