Haylie (OC) And Her Dad - Headcanons

Note: Haylie is the OC of @askhaylie (Daughter of Hades) and I totally recommend you guys checking her out! :)

- Haylie is conflicted over hr father’s actions. He is no doubt a very powerful villain, but his recklessness failure to succeed had landed him and Haylie on the Isle. Still, Haylie bitterly knows she wouldn’t take back his actions and where they landed them, considering how being on the Isle is how she met Cora and Cole.

- They constantly get into rather loud arguements which are known to wake up anyone within a few blocks of their house.

- Haylie used to be a lot closer to Hades as a child. They would laugh and joke around a lot, which they only do on the rare occasion now.

- The two would constantly come up with super evil schemes when Haylie was a child and while Hades would bring up pain and suffering, Haylie would mention how she would make everyone go to sleep before 7 and not let them wear their favorite shirt. (Hades, of course, would nod and go along with it because at least she has the right idea.)

- As Haylie started turning into a teenager, the two started to drift apart while their relationship strained.

- Hades doesn’t mind being called names like ‘mean’, ‘rude’, or ‘selfish’, but he would be lying if he didn’t feel a pang in his heart whenever Haylie calls him a bad dad.

- Although she would definitely deny it, Haylie does want to make her father proud, but she’s not sure if she wants to carry through with the villainy stuff that would lead to that.

- When Haylie gets older and Hades starts to subtly show that he still cares about her; “Not so Bad a Dad” by, Olivia Olsen.

Friend of a Friend | Closed Starter | Haylie & Scotta

Cora was late. Cora was late, and Scotta was nervous. Cora was late, and Scotta was nervous because Cora was late.

The mantra repeating in Scotta’s head seemed to be getting more and more frantic and panicked, and really wasn’t helping anyone. If she had learned anything from her exploits to the Isle, it was to always keep a cool head. Or, at least look like it. However, the Isle was a dangerous place. As strong as Cora was, anything could have happened to her, and it was dangerous for Scotta to be hanging around without the closest thing she had to a friend there to watch her back.

The Isle was only a small place, anyway. What if she was caught? If she was with someone else then it didn’t look too ad. But alone, she stood out like a sore thumb. It wasn’t like anyone knew who she was either way, since she wasn’t actually from the Isle nor as infamous as Ben, but it wasn’t like she had a wardrobe of distressed and studded leather just for these occasions.

When a figure came around the corner, Scotta’s body wasn’t sure how to react for a moment. Should she assume it was Cora and relax? Or worry that it was a complete stranger and try to act natural?

Safe to say, it wasn’t Cora.

I don’t know that it’s mysterious... I see it more as reliable. The waves at Paia will always be bigger than the waves at Lahaina, and the ocean will always bring you more brown and green sea glass than blue. For as much as it changes, the water really stays the same a lot.

Haylie || AU Weekend - Closed Starter

Chad was out on his morning jog - which, normally, he would already be done with, but if he wanted to outshine Jay in tourney, he was really going to have to step it up, which unfortunately meant working harder. 

It was early enough that not many people were out, which is why, when he noticed movement out of the corner of his eye, it was particularly unusual. He decided to investigate, hoping that this wouldn’t be how he died.
