Oh fun we're dissecting and criticising Orientalist tropes in the character design of a Greek wind god-based character!
So are we going to do the same thing for EPIC or...uh...we lettin' that art slide?

i feel like some people in the GO fandom r WAYYY too desperate to defend azi in the finale. look i love azi as much as the next person, he's a darling, but you have to admit that he was wrong. it's not like he was wrong on purpose, he was misled. he's still incredibly prejudiced towards hell ("well obviously you said no to hell, you're the bad guys"). he says 'you're the bad guys' instead of 'they're the bad guys', he's still subconsciously including crowley in that group even if he loves him. and not to target anyone butttt i don't really like people trying to defend him by saying 'BUT WHAT IF THE METATRON WAS THREATENING HIM' because no??? azi was very obviously excited to tell crowley, he could barely even get words out.
crowley is actually right most of the time in their arguments, but because of azi's prejudice against hell, he naturally wants to believe he (azi) is right because he's on the good side and crowley is on the bad. (he still also subconciously believes he cant trust crowley fully– "even if i did know where the antichrist was, i wouldn't tell you, we're on opposite sides!") heaven is the side of truth. azi is wrong in the end, but he's not trying to be malicious. crowley's right, but it's just going over azi's head. when crowley says "you cant leave this bookshop", azi took it literally. crowley does understand it a whole lot better than azi does.
anyway that probably means nothing just had to say that thabk you for coming to my ted talk

things to note:
So- I'm flat broke. And in some hefty debt. And my work just got a new dress code. A dress code in which I have maybe two outfits that fit said dress code. If you're able to do a commission or just want to donate to help me get some clothes so I can keep working I would deeply appreciate it. Otherwise I might lose my job.
