I think Leon would be the type of dad to not want a pet at first. He uses all sorts of excuses about his work, your work, how the kids aren't responsible enough for it.
But when you show up with an injured kitten in desperate need for some help, he couldn't say no.
His daughters are of course ecstatic about having a pet in the house, it's temporary, you and Leon both say, just until the kitten gets better.
But three months later, a mountain of vet bills and an attachment for the kitten, you both agree to keep it.
But the kitten had ultimately decided that Leon was his person. The kitten will follow him around, meow at him for food, and sit in his seat.
The kitten even wails and scratches the bedroom door when he's locked it to be with you.
"It's adorable," you say.
"It's annoying," he responds back. It's effectively ruined any mood that he's built up.
And yet, he still clams he didn't want the kitten, Despite not pushing the kitten away when it comes to cuddle, or giving it extra treats when it meows at him, or buying it all the cat toys in the world.
Yeah, sure he doesn't want a pet

Lowkey based the kitten on one that I had rescued last year, but people always write Leon with a dog, so there's no cat love 💔
