Space selfie!
One of the truest sayings to this day comes from Nikita Gill.
An astronaut posted about a St. Louis woman's jewelry line on social media. And then, blast off. Her business skyrocketed.
Check out this awesome video brought to our attention by Meg Watzke. It features Bea Doheny, founder of Astronobeads, and astronaut Scott Kelly!
Congrats to Bea on all her success!! Check out the Astronobeads designs we’ve posted to date here.

ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet in the airlock during his first spacewalk, on Friday 13 January 2017. Together with NASA astronaut Shane Kimbrough, he spent five hours and 58 minutes outside the Space Station to complete a battery upgrade to the outpost’s power system.
Thomas commented on this picture: "NASA astronaut Peggy Whitson has been on a record number of spacewalks, and has been IV (the person inside responsible for getting the crew out and back) many more times. She got us out the door one hour ahead of schedule, and took great pictures through the hatch! So lucky to have the best crewmembers."
On moon landing day I thought it would be fun to teach my class of five year old students a little bit about the moon landing and about modern day astronauts. I showed them the the moon landing footage and how astronauts today live on the space station and how they all float around.
AND NONE OF THEM WERE INTERESTED!!!
They were so MEH about it! One of them asked when are we going to start the usual workbook page for the day? I’m giving you a break from book work for the day to introduce you to one of the greatest achievements of humankind!
I know I’m going to sound like an old person for saying this, but what’s wrong with the young folk today?! How do they manage to see a person floating in zero gravity, drinking water that they have to catch as it flies about them, as they admire the gorgeous view of our planet from space?! That’s just objectively cool!
I.. I just... sigh... I’m old now. I don’t understand the young people anymore...
