Hi, little wanderer! My name is Clara.
I’m an astrologer devoted to the quiet language of charts - the part that speaks through emotion, intuition, and lived experience.
Over the years of studying astrology, I discovered that my true calling lies in helping people recognise their talents, vocational paths, and the light within themselves, especially when that light has been overlooked or misunderstood.
My work centres on career direction, vocation, and personal growth, particularly for those who have never felt at ease within rigid systems or conventional definitions of success. If you happen to be one of those people, you're in the right place 🧡
I read birth charts as maps of ability, sensitivity, and purpose - not to predict outcomes, but to uncover how you are meant to work, create, and contribute in ways that honour your natural rhythms and nervous system.
I also read synastry charts, exploring the emotional and energetic dynamics between people. These readings are designed to bring clarity to connection - highlighting patterns of attraction, support, tension, and growth in professional, creative, romantic and platonic relationships.
Career, for me, is never separate from emotion.
Our work lives, relationships, and sense of belonging are deeply intertwined. Many who resonate with my work are neurodivergent, creatively inclined, or navigating burnout, transition, or late-blooming paths.
Astrology, to me, is a language of remembering.
A way to reconnect with your strengths, your inner light, and the kind of life that can truly support your growth.
❂ You’re welcome to linger, reflect, and explore at your own pace.
If something here resonates, it’s already pointing you towards yourself. ❂
Welcome to this synastry post. With this I intend to talk about those aspects that could seem tense and about which many have dedicated themselves to simply talking about the dark side without talking about the other side of the coin. I do not intend to sugarcoat these placements, simply to say their good side as long as both do their part. I won’t talk about each aspect, just the ones that are usually pointed out as very tense or irremediable. In the same way, I won’t talk about the darker side of this aspect since you can find that information quite easily. In case you support this post, I may consider making a second part. With that being said, let's begin.
🟫Sun making hard aspects with Sun [Square or Opposition].
This aspect is usually the target of hate for many who are just beginning their path to astrology, seeing them as incompatible, especially those who square. On occasions, for many the idea of being very different from someone makes them somewhat blind to the other things that make them similar.
The good point of these aspects is that both can show the other new things, they can help each other discover certain sides of their personality. Perhaps showing them traits of themselves that they didn't know they had, or simply opening them up to being able to be those sides of themselves that aren't out of shame or fear. What many do not take into consideration is that in the case of being a square, both signs are usually of the same modality, which facilitates their mutual understanding and they can become very curious about the other. In the case of an opposition it is slightly simpler, since they are usually signs of compatible elements and the same energy [feminine or masculine]. What usually happens in this kind of relationship is a feeling of not fully understanding who the other person is, finding them eccentric in some way or not being very familiar with some of their behaviors, but nevertheless feeling very drawn to them, feeling very affinity or a feeling of being able to connect with them in an authentic way. Authentic because you see in them a person who, despite their differences, is not afraid to change a little in order to fully understand you. Both offer different and very interesting perspectives, and you can notice that it motivates and expands you to explore yourself and love yourself more.
I mention "may be" since on many occasions, in the case of squares, it can happen in signs of different modalities due to degrees. Or in the case of the opposition, because can it happen in signs that are not sister signs, again, due to degrees.
🟫Sun making hard aspects with Venus [Square or Opposition].
I have heard a lot about these aspects, especially the "you do not meet their beauty standards”, which seems very crude and somewhat ridiculous to me, since it is an empty meaning.
Being an aspect of the Sun and Venus indicates a theme of personality and fascination. What this aspect can tell us is that the two of you may be the first person that the other notices in terms of personality [for example, let's say that one of you is usually interested in very cheerful, outgoing people who they love to party, however, the other is rather introverted, serious and more of a homebody]. It's not that "you don't meet their beauty standards", since we're talking about the Sun that doesn't exactly tell us about the body, rather about the personality. They may have many differences between the two, be it in attitude, tastes or interests. Both of you can help each other see beauty in things you don't usually see it in, and if you're open-minded, the differences between you won't be too difficult for you. In the case of an opposition, you may find these differences between you something very appealing and interesting, you may even have the impression that the other complements you in those attitudes or interests that you feel you do not have. In the case of a square, it makes it very likely that they will get along but have a different way of feeling loved or accepted, so it will take a little more understanding, however, they can understand their needs [by being the same modality]. They can see the other person as someone fascinating and totally different from what they usually like, they see in the other someone extremely appealing, and maybe at the beginning of this connection, both felt that the other was out of their league in some way.
🟫Sun making hard aspects with Pluto [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
Obsession or toxicity... surely we have all heard or read this, right? However, it goes beyond that, much more. This meaning is usually attributed to it by the powerful Pluto, whose energy can be so powerful that many seeing it may look a little scared or unprepared. Especially when coming into contact with a planet [luminary] as personal as the Sun. It is powerful energy, but it depends only on the maturity of both individuals.
A feeling of not being able to get the other person out of your mind, both of you made a very strong impression on the other, and could have easily earned each other's respect or admiration. Both will profoundly change the life of the other, as no one has ever been able to. The Pluto person will be delighted with the presence and strength of the SUn person, there will be in them that they will see as magnetically and very attractive, they will find it impossible not to feel this attraction for the other. In the case of the Sun person, you will find it impossible to look away from the Pluto person, you will feel that they are a person full of mysteries and charm, someone complex who never ceases to amaze you every time you see them. They may feel that the other gave a very deep meaning to their lives or to everything they used to know. Both of you can make the other open much more, you can feel that you can be transparent with the other and that there is no need to hide this side of you that can be considered the darkside. You can feel much more powerful after being with the other, something like a power couple. This aspect is usually related to the issue of control, one of the parties wanting the other to do and be what they want, but it does not always have to be or it’s not usually the case, it may be the opposite and they feel very liberated with the other in a certain way.
🟫Moon making hard aspects with Saturn [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
I can imagine why a lot of people look unhappy seeing this aspect, since if having it in a natal chart can feel like a tiring ride, some think the same goes for a synastry chart. When in fact this aspect in this card is something that you do not have to deal with alone, since the relationship belongs to both of you, and if you both are equally focused or just love each other, this aspect can have a totally different connotation.
Saturn's keywords are not only coldness, restriction or karma, they are also commitment and stability. This relationship can be very serious from the beginning, loyalty and durability are usually the most favorable points of these aspects. Both may seem to be people of a different nature, Saturn person being much more controlled and private, while the Moon person is usually the emotional and sensitive one, this does not always have to collide, since the Saturn person is fascinated and touched by sweet, attentive and warm nature of the Moon person, may even want to protect and provide stability and support to the other person. In the case of the Moon person, they are delighted with how reliable the Saturn person is. They love that feeling of finally being able to trust someone and feeling that there is someone who is finally honest with them. Both of you work hard to keep the relationship afloat and make it calm and comfortable for the other person. They will rarely be seen to argue with each other and will always want to settle things calmly. In terms of opposition, both can feel more stable in terms of lifestyle [either eating better, improving their sleeping schedule or becoming more responsible] and can feel more secure in what they want or want. In terms of the square, both may not be so cheesy, however their actions will scream how much they want this relationship and commitment to the other.
🟫Moon making hard aspects with Neptune [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
When the planet of confusion, of imagination or idealization comes into contact with the planet of emotions, it seems to be a game over. But we must take into account many things, astrologically, how our Saturns are being aspected, and more psychologically, how well we are before entering a relationship.
When both people do their part, these relationships often have a healing quality to them, both seem to be able to easily read each other's emotions and find a reason for their emotional state. Both are fascinated with what the other person is behind the scenes, they can feel that knowing the other person deeply is a journey full of happiness, magic and pure charm. They will seek to help each other, help or motivate each other to heal, they can feel like home after a tired day. However... is it like this from the beginning? Yes, but in a subtle way. It is very likely that the other's feelings are not so obvious at first, they may even think that the other does not see them in the same way, a feeling of uncertainty regarding the other person's feelings. This is easily solved, being clear with what they feel from the beginning, not fearing to address the situation quickly and sincerely. Moon person is delighted with the aura, magic, delicacy and certain charm of the Neptune person, it seems that they are that reminder that they obtained to dare to see beyond the obvious and dare to dream. In the case of the Neptune person, you can see the Moon person as a dream come true, someone you don't see every day, someone unique and fascinating, a person with whom life seems to have more good things than bad.
🟫Moon making hard aspects with Pluto [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
Similar to the case of the Sun, the Moon is another of the most sensitive points of the chart, so a tense aspect with Pluto can be the same or even more stigmatized than the aspects between Sun-Pluto. From feeling overwhelmed by so much intensity to jealousy and restrictions, are some of the labels imposed on these aspects.
There will be a lot of changes in both, that's for sure, especially in the Moon Person. They may feel a strange fascination and enchantment with the other person, a sense of meeting the other wherever you go, an endless curiosity to discover the deepest side of the other. A sense of charm but some intimidation, like magnets, can be very drawn to the other. Both will want to protect each other very much and will not hesitate to defend the other if they feel that someone else attacked or offended them. They can become much more caring [the Moon person] or much more protective and alert [the Pluto person] around this person. In the case of the Moon person, they will be seen to be more introspective after meeting the other, they will be much deeper with their emotions. In the case of the Pluto person, they will be seen letting their guard down a bit more, being more open and emotional with this person. The key here is to be healthy people, since excesses can overwhelm both. Both of you can be a great emotional support for the other and bring both love and loyalty into the other person's life. Being with the other can be an emotional purge to let go of everything that did not serve you in your life, you can feel that both are totally transformed in the relationship and feel that their emotions are taken with the acceptance with which they should be.
🟫Venus making hard aspects with Venus [Square or Opposition].
This aspect is usually described as somewhat tricky, since the nature of Venus in tense aspects is one of the easiest to cope with in synastry or composite, but nevertheless, it tells us about our tastes in love, our vision of it and precisely usually be pointed out as one of the most compatible aspects in a friendship than in a romantic relationship. It does not have to be this way.
What is clear from the beginning is that both can have many differences in matters of how they feel loved or how they make the other feel loved, but this does not mean that both do not feel very attracted to each other. Both see the other as someone fascinating, both in personality and in terms of their body, it seems that the attraction is immediate and indescribable. It is very common for these people not to know what to answer when asked "what do you like most about the other?" since they would not be able to say what exactly is the reason when everything seems interesting and appealing to the other person. Despite their differences, they manage to get along quite well. As soon as the moment of being in the relationship, both have to let the other know what they consider a priority in a relationship, what things make them feel loved and what things not so much, since they can be different in this matter, as I mentioned previously. In case of an opposition, the understanding will occur over time, both can find the other incredibly attractive on many levels, similar to Sun-Venus, they can see the other as their complementary opposite, and this aspect can portend something very long term. Finally, in the square situation, both can tease the other way more than the opposition would, however the fascination and attraction would be just as powerful. They do not understand the other, and they like that and motivates them to want to do it because they see them as someone who is worth trying to make that jump.
🟫Venus making hard aspects with Uranus [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
"There is no trust or reliability" "Pull and push", I think that these are not things that we should attribute to this placement, rather they should be attributed to the fact that that person was not looking for anything serious with them. We make the mistake of justifying certain behaviors with astrology, when in reality everything depends on our maturity.
At first the attraction will be very strong, fast and inexplicable for both parties. The Venus person is charmed by the originality, sense of independence and even the quirks of the other person, their intelligence and attitude froze them and took them by surprise, so much so that they would love to continue being so surprised. The Uranus person is amazed by that unique way of loving that the Venus person has, by their incomparable beauty with others and by the strong impression they left on them. It doesn't matter how serene they both are or how thoughtful they seemed before having a crush, they can't help but feel delighted from the first time they saw each other, everything will happen very quickly for both of them, they won't have time to process why, or how, or when, they will only feel a rush of happiness when they cross paths with each other. They can get to think about what a future with the other would be like, they can become a little idealistic about the other. They will love the feeling of the other, of freedom, of being able to be authentic, because both will be amazed at even the most quirky details or that the other considers embarrassing. Both will be very playful with each other, they will be more open and can be very warm from the start. If they are friends, they may also act as a couple, if they are a couple, they may also act as friends, since both terms are important when it comes to the other. They have different styles, especially when it comes to living life, depending on the type of person they are, it does not have to be a major problem.
🟫Venus making hard aspects with Pluto [Conjunction, Square or Opposition].
Another of the placements that are usually strongly judged, here we do not find descriptions such as "toxic relationship indicator", again the theme of obsession and even manipulation. No, please no. Or at least try to be a little more creative and not just associate Pluto with descriptions of jealousy and obsession. Again, this may be due to the very different natures of the planets involved, Pluto being associated with more direct and strong energy, while Venus is more subtle and sweet.
Both natives can have a loyal and very honest attitude with the other from the beginning, they can feel very intrigued by the other's personality, seeing it as fascinating, charming and very fitting with what they expect from a relationship. What is not usually said is that they are both quite intense with what they feel, not only the Pluto person, both can be seen side by side from the early stages. The Venus person looks very turned on by the strength, attitude and way of getting ahead of the Pluto Person, they can feel very paralyzed by them since they know what they have had to face, how hard they have fought and how strong and confident they are waiting what life still has left to give them. In the case of the Pluto person, they are amazed by the beauty of the Venus person, delighted by the way they treat them and how they seem to have only understanding and love for them, they see in them someone who loves with loyalty, someone trustworthy, that behind that calm facade hides a lot of intensity, and they can't help but feel intrigued and eager to connect with that side of them. They both adore each other's bodies, it's a reality, but what they love most is the way they love, since both have what the other is looking for, intensity, security in what they want and iron loyalty.

The Ledger of Hearts | Peace and Chaos | The Fall
Handing over the ledger, Eunwoo hesitated to fully let it out of his grip. Eyes of obsidian stared back at him intensely, your head tilting to the side. Lips now curled, your wicked tongue moistened them a little. “You’ve done your job, Eunwoo.”
“I need to ensure these findings will reach your King, Y/N.”
“He’ll be the first to read them. I give you my word.”
Eunwoo rolled his eyes, and even you couldn’t disguise the impish expression that flashed over your features. He knew as soon as you were gone from this bridge that connected the two realms that you would peruse all the details meant for the Underlord.
He gripped the book tightly. “You plan to read it for yourself.”
“Not everyone is a saint, you know,” you answered, eying his pearly robes with a snigger.
“No, you’re right. Demons have no place in being saints, now do they?”
Your lips pursed together sourly. “The book, Eunwoo.”
“I think perhaps I ought to deliver it to Lucifer myself.”
Reaching to hold your waist as you threw back your head in sudden laughter, you then quickly reined in your amusement and glared at him. “You have no place down there.”
“Because I’m not sinful like you are?” Eunwoo wondered, passing by your stunned stance and towards the archway you had arrived through.
Wind rushed by his ear, and you were back in front of him. Eunwoo smirked, noticing the concern whirling within your eyes. They hardened, and you shoved him back.
“Excuse me. There was no need to for that!”
“I entirely disagree,” you announced, giving him another shunt across the bridge, back towards his portal archway. Eunwoo stood his ground, his heels scuffing into the stone. “There was every need for that.”
“You think of me as not capable!”
“Rather, I think of you as more than capable.”
“Then what prevents you from allowing a saint into the depths of hell? Worried I might become corrupted, and that will be on your head?”
“Considering the number of times I’ve had you pressed up against that wall over there moaning out my name and you still haven’t been cast from piety, I doubt you’re the corrupting type.”
“Why should I trust this ledger with you and not walk it to Lucifer myself?”
You sighed, casting your dark gaze directly onto his. Eunwoo shivered, a heat encompassing him with the burn of temptation.
Eunwoo had contaminated his pureness with you a multitude of times, only stopping when you ventured lower than anyone could go with someone of his kind. Yet, for all the immoral acts he knew you carried out, Eunwoo couldn’t quite see you as evil. You cared far too much to fully be a depraved entity.
Running your fingers along the side of his neck, you leaned in closer. “I fear if my King sees you that he’d take you as his own. I might do his biddings, but he can’t have what is mine.”

Part 1 - Not Being Able To Concentrate Because She's There
Cha Eunwoo didn’t believe in love at first sight. Or upon a second or even a third look. He was certain that it was nothing but a phenomenon of the hopeless romantic. A guise that someone who wanted to fall in love badly held over the top of feelings that could be more easily described as attractive or interesting. Eunwoo had met many people in his lifetime that he could easily commit to saying he was attracted to or interested in upon first sight. Such was the nature of being human, so he thought.
However, love was something that came with time. A feeling that grew with experiences shared together, not something you felt straight away. He was a firm believer of this.
So what exactly could he call the feeling that was making his heart beat erratically in his chest as he watched you right now?
Blinking forcibly in attempts to regain control over his physical reaction, Eunwoo licked at his lips, realising his breath was heightened. Now clamping his lips together, he did everything he could to tear his eyes away from your direction and back to the guide in front of him.
“This is the campus library. I hope you took down notes on how to get here because you’ll be spending a lot of your time cramming here. There are eleven floors and this place houses pretty much every book about absolutely everything you could ask a question about. This area here is known as the main study lobby. Most students find the second-floor study area pretty noisy though so if you’re…”
Eunwoo lost his focus again on the tour and slipped back to you at one of the tables quietly reading a book. Sliding your hand onto your neck to better support your head as you continued perusing the pages before you, Eunwoo gulped as his skin began to tingle.
“Its attraction,” he breathed out slowly, trying to claim the feeling overwhelming him as that. It didn’t feel like enough to say it was mere attraction though and Eunwoo frowned. “I’m interested too.”
“And I’m intrigued,” another voice announced, nudging Eunwoo playfully. Glancing at the fellow freshman at his side, Eunwoo cringed at his high school buddy Harvey overhearing his outspoken thoughts. “Who are you attracted to? The tour guide? She’s like forty, dude.”
“No, but if you are, by all means ask her out when we’re done.”
“So then who? The rest of us are guys. But hey, if you’re unsure and want to experiment-”
“Could you stop yourself from talking instead?” Eunwoo replied dryly, dragging his feet reluctantly as the group started to move along. He glanced over his shoulder back in your direction, blinking when he found the table you had been reading at now empty. Spinning around, he thought he saw the end of your ponytail descending the stairs at the front of the building but he couldn’t be too sure.
Harvey jostled him around. “Whoever she is, maybe you imagined her. She could be the girl of your college dreams.”
“Sometimes I wonder if I would be better off imagining up a new friend than having you around, Harvey,” Eunwoo commented before letting out a sigh.
Perhaps you were just a fleeting moment of temptation, after all.
Eunwoo was simultaneously relieved and horrified to find that you existed the following day at his first lecture. Harvey’s teasing had simmered down somewhat when the tour moved out of the library and Eunwoo began to believe maybe his friend was right and he conjured you up.
Seeing you in the flesh again solved the puzzle of whether you existed or not.
However, as the hairs stood up on his arms and his eyes fixated on the side of your head as you moved across the front of the lecture hall to the staircase, Eunwoo was troubled by seeing you in person again.
His physical reaction only felt greater this time as well.
Not this row, he begged internally as you came closer to where he was set up, closing his eyes when you diverted towards him. Of course, the universe was testing him right now. Still, he didn’t understand why you of all the people in this world had to cause his insides to implode with nervous excitement like this.
“Hello,” you greeted softly and pointed at the seat you had stopped before. “Can I sit next to you?”
“Oh uh um well uh-”
You grinned. “It’s just the centre of the room and the row, so...”
“That’s exactly why I chose this spot,” he admitted and you bit your lip to control your delight before sitting down.
“I’ve always been the only one who chooses by the environment on where to sit that I’ve known of.”
“Well it makes the most sense to,” he managed to comment and you nodded along eagerly. “You have to be comfortable in order to learn.”
“Precisely! I’m so glad to finally meet someone who thinks the same. I’m Y/N and you are?”
“Eunwoo,” he replied, taking the hand you held outstretched towards him.
He had to clamp his mouth shut before the squeak building up in his throat was expelled, his cheeks feeling hot with his efforts. You mirrored the flushed expression before letting go.
“It’s nice to meet you, Eunwoo. I hope this semester will be productive for the pair of us.”
The first lecture was anything but productive. Eunwoo couldn’t concentrate for the first time in a learning environment in years. And when he hadn’t been as focused in the past, it was due to being unwell and needing to be resting at home, not because a gorgeous girl had sat down beside him. He was well versed in ignoring others around him when learning.
It threw him completely to be unable to focus at all with you next to him.
Eunwoo chalked it up to first day nerves. Or anything else he could kid himself of. But after a second lecture with no true coherency of what was being spoken about in the class and then on the third being called upon and blanking over an answer he knew in great detail from previous study, Eunwoo knew it was due to you.
The problem was he liked you too much to try and avoid you. It wasn’t just the physical reaction now either. Every time you arrived early for class and you chatted over topics before the professor arrived. He was enamoured by the way you thought. Conversation was all too easy between you.
Which was why you didn’t hesitate to gesture to his empty page. “Another day of not taking down notes?”
“Hah, yeah.”
“Don’t tell me you’re one of those geniuses who don’t need to write down information to remember and ace all your tests,” you breathed, leaning towards him.
Eunwoo wished right now he was one of those types. He was immensely grateful that all lectures were recorded so he could cram in note-taking later when he was back home. Staring down at his blank page, he let out a nervous laugh. “Nope, that’s not me.”
“Then? Is the content too hard? I could help you during lunch today to get your head around it?” you offered, blinking softly.
He should have been honest with you then, however, the offer to have a meal with you seemed more desirable than anything else and he found himself nodding along. “Could you?”
“It’ll be my pleasure! I can’t have you falling behind so soon into the semester.”
Eunwoo groaned out loud as you giggled. Glancing at you with a brief pout, he then grinned. “I’ll buy lunch then for your help.”
“Ooh, deal!”
It was evident even to you after twenty minutes of attempting to explain the situation that Eunwoo was distracted. You didn’t know why, however. At first, he was determined to make his way through the entirety of lunch fully invested in what you had to say. And for that matter, he had been invested enough to hear each word you spoke, they just didn’t make enough sense. Was it because of the perfume you had on today? It had been fragrant in class earlier on, but now squeezed into a tiny table at the back of one of the bustling campus cafes, it washed over him completely. Was it the way you brushed your hair away from your neck and placed it all to one side of your head, exposing your delicate skin? Honestly, Eunwoo couldn’t tell why he was being like this, and admittedly he was growing quite concerned for his sanity.
You were driving him down a path he had never wandered before.
Harvey’s remark about university being known as an experimental time in a young person’s life came to the forefront of his brain. Was his physical attraction to you that out of control that he couldn’t focus in your company? Or was it just you as a whole?
He whimpered with the lack of an answer.
Glancing away from your book, you placed down your pen and sighed. “This isn’t helping, is it?”
“No.”
“And it’s not the professor that’s the problem, is it?” you continued and Eunwoo shook his head sadly. “I bet the content isn’t that hard for you-”
“It’s you.”
“Excuse me?” you asked slowly, brows knitting together. “I’m the problem?”
Eunwoo opened his mouth, only for embarrassment to flare up within his stomach. How could he tell you that it was because of boyish feelings that he couldn’t concentrate in your company? He’d barely known you for a week now. It would haunt him for the rest of his semester if he confessed this early into things.
However, his lack of response had done enough damage, your hands hastily grabbing for your belongings scattered over the table in between lunch. “I’m sorry I’m such a problem. You should have told me earlier, Eunwoo.”
“No, it’s nothing like that!”
“I’ll sit somewhere else on Monday so you can concentrate on the lecture. Good luck with your semester.”
“Y/N!” he called out hopelessly, reaching out for your lower arm. You halted all movement and stared at his gentle grip over your arm.
He knew he had no other option.
“I can’t concentrate because ever since I met you, I can’t stop thinking about you.”

Part 3 - Stopping In An Alley To Tell Her You Love Her
It felt like a distant memory now that months had travelled between you. The first semester came and went, and you both rejoiced passing your exam period with relatively decent scores. Especially considering the hairy beginning to the paper Eunwoo took with you.
“I’m impressed you stared more at your exam paper than at me,” you teased when you finished checking your scores online in your dorm room.
Rolling his eyes, Eunwoo playfully tapped you on the nose. “Some things are more important to focus on.”
“Like your girlfriend?” you prompted and Eunwoo couldn’t stop his lips from spreading into a smile.
“I finished seventeen minutes before you.”
“You watched me all that time?!” you guessed and Eunwoo shrugged before pulling you up from your seat. “What are we doing?”
“We have two whole weeks before our next semester starts. What do you think we’re doing?”
“I swear if you say going to the library or-”
Eunwoo cut you off with a chaste kiss before sending you a dazzling smile. “Pack your bags.”
“What? Why?”
“I’m going home for the holidays. Don’t you want to come with me?”
“And meet your parents?!” you squeaked out, heading over to your wardrobe anyway. Eunwoo slumped down onto your bed and watched as you turned frazzled. You shot him a helpless expression. “I don’t know if I can come.”
“Why not? Who am I meant to stare at whilst I’m away then?”
“Don’t!” you whined outlandishly and stomped your foot. “This is serious! You can’t just spring it on me that we’re going to meet your parents, Eunwoo!”
“Why not? You didn’t tell me I was meeting your mother until you introduced her as that when I joined you for brunch last month.”
“That wasn’t exactly planned, you know.”
“Nor is this. I just don’t want to say goodbye to you now so come with me instead,” he pleaded and you sighed heavily, sweeping your hair up into a messy ponytail before stepping over to him and leaned in for another kiss. Eunwoo gave you three extras for encouragement and you finally nodded.
“Okay, let’s do this.”
He grinned, getting up to help you with the packing. Admittedly he was meant to be going home by himself. However, the idea of leaving you made his chest ache more than logic could reason. Over the months, Eunwoo found himself giving in to the irrational side more often. It was tiring to try and understand how you made him feel as your relationship progressed. In some ways, he knew he was falling in love. But Eunwoo couldn’t figure where the falling had started.
He sometimes mused over the novel idea that it had happened when he first met you.
Still, it was easier not to question himself anymore and just enjoy experiencing each moment.
Which was what he had done for the entire trip home.
Of course, his parents had gushed over your impromptu appearance. Although they knew he had been dating someone this semester, Eunwoo hadn’t gone into great depths over the phone just how serious he felt about you. Again, because he didn’t know what to describe it as.
Now that you were in his childhood house and surrounded by his family, however, Eunwoo realised this was a first for him. He’d never brought someone special home for the holidays, or for any real occasion.
Something his mother hadn’t let him forget about ever since your arrival. “You know, Y/N, this is the best gift my son has ever given me. I’m so happy you’re here with us these holidays.”
“Oh, it’s my pleasure,” you mentioned with a glance in Eunwoo’s direction. “Thank you for welcoming me into your home at such short notice.”
“Nonsense! You are welcome here any time!”
“We’ll go get the ingredients from the store you asked me to get earlier,” he told his mother before dragging you to the front door.
“Why did you bring me with you?”
Eunwoo cleared his throat awkwardly. “I realised it might not be a good idea to leave you two alone together.”
“Why?”
“I found her searching for the photo albums,” he mentioned with a scowl as you both walked down the tiny street-way towards the main shopping area.
You giggled as you watched your footing on the light dusting of snow covering the footpath. You then shot him a wicked grin. “I’ll have to ask to see them before I leave!”
“I knew my honesty would be a curse some time in my life,” he grumbled as you giggled further.
Eunwoo stopped walking then, staring at your animated expression. Your breath was visible in the colder temperature, and your face barely peeked out between a scarf and beanie. Your cheeks were flushed from the sting of the wintry air and your amusement.
He couldn’t get enough of this look.
However, you grew intrigued, waving a hand in front of his face. “Earth to Eunwoo, what are you thinking about right now?”
“Do we need to get spring onions?” he asked jarringly, blinking out of his thoughts and walking off again.
“Are you okay?” you asked, catching up and slipping your gloved hand into his. “You’re being weird.”
“Shouldn’t you be used to that now? I’m constantly weird when it comes to you.”
“Romantic,” you reminded and nuzzled into his side further.
“We better get these groceries before another snow flurry hits,” he excused, hurrying down the path to the market.
His unease continued for the rest of the trip. Maybe it was the nostalgia of the area and having you fit so easily into the places he had frequented as a child. That was all he could think of as you managed to purchase all that his mother had written down on the list to fetch.
Actually, that was a lie.
A growing need to speak his mind was washing over him. It was bubbling right under the surface as you walked back to his family home with a bag of groceries in both hands each. Every small glance you gave him accompanied with a delighted smile brought the emotion further to the forefront until he was certain he would never be this sure about anything ever again.
“I love you,” he blurted out when you walked down the alleyway towards his street again, and you stumbled to a stop, losing some of your balance given the snow on the ground. Eunwoo lurched towards you to save you from falling, both of you ending up pressed against a brick wall.
Soul searching once he caught your stunned stare, Eunwoo smiled softly. “I love you, Y/N.”
“So suddenly?” you breathed, blinking slowly.
Eunwoo chuckled. “No, I think it’s been for some time.”
“Why would you throw this on me when my hands are full?” you wondered distractedly, glancing at the bags you held. Eunwoo reached out for them, taking them with his own.
And then he leaned in closer. “I love you.”
“Goodness I heard you the first time,” you mentioned, still struggling with coherency. “You need to give me a chance to restart my heart after such a confession!”
Instead, he leaned in and brushed his lips over yours, catching the tail end of your surprise over the confession. Your answer was delivered through the earnest kiss you gave him.
When he finally lifted his head away from yours to suck in a deep breath, you cupped his jaw in both of your hands and smiled tenderly. “I love you too.”
“Tell me again.”
“Why, because you told me multiple times too?” you wondered with a laugh. Shaking your head you pecked his lips first. “I love you, I love you, I love you!”
“Good.”
“Good?” you echoed and Eunwoo nodded.
“My mother was right. This year is the best present I’ve been able to give her. And to myself as well.”
“And you say you’re not romantic at all,” you mumbled before placing your hands upon his chest. “I agree though. I was worried about university back when the first school year began. Meeting you was the best thing that happened to me.”
“Not the A you got for your overall grade?” he offered and you slapped his padded jacket front bitterly.
“That was an A-minus.”
“What am I then?” he wondered and you sighed.
“My A-plus for this semester.”
“And for next semester?”
“I can’t grade you ahead of time,” you admittedly sincerely and Eunwoo leaned in to kiss you again.
“But I love you.”
“Maybe you’re going to get an A-plus next semester too,” you agreed with a laugh, gesturing for him to follow you back to his home.
Eunwoo was glad he could finally label something with certainty when it came to you now.

Blinking at his admission, your eyes then grew unfocused. “You… you what?”
“I know it’s ridiculous. Believe me, I don’t understand it either,” he continued hastily, letting go of your arm and running a hand through his hair. “But ever since I first saw you, I’ve been distracted like this.”
A small smile ghosted over your lips. “I see.”
“I’m normally rather efficient, not at all a bumbling mess like this.”
“And I make that harder?”
“You’re enjoying this now,” he lamented and you giggled before biting at your bottom lip. Eunwoo couldn’t help but groan at your elated expression. “Meanwhile I think I’m going insane.”
“I think you’re just being really romantic.”
Eunwoo laughed, shaking his head. “Oh no, that’s not me.”
“It’s not?” you echoed, pursing your lips together.
Oh god, why had he noticed them right at that moment?
Blinking rapidly, he sat back in his chair quickly. You watched him before grinning. “What’s not romantic about a guy telling you the reason he can’t think straight is because of you? Most girls dream of being told this, you know.”
“Really? But it’s so…”
“Romantic,” you repeated, your smile splitting your lips further. “Thank you for telling me the truth, Eunwoo.”
He sighed, glancing at you cautiously. “What do we do now about it?”
“Well, if sitting next to me is a bother, we could try moving apart so long as you don’t use this confession as something to avoid me entirely with.” Eunwoo didn’t mention out loud that it had been a thought he possessed, but you seemed to notice and hissed at him. “You can’t!”
“I dislike being this hopeless,” he told you with a pout which only made you further unable to remove your amusement. “Stop having so much fun at my expense!”
“You haven’t asked me what my thoughts are around this situation, Eunwoo.”
“Do I have to? It’s a ridiculous problem to have and I’m already struggling to navigate it myself.”
“We could do it together,” you offered airily, not quite meeting his gaze. “You know, like a team.”
“A team?”
“Yeah, we could work on extending your comfort zone whilst in my company. I’m sure the more time we spend together, you’ll find your footing again. Attraction only bothers people with a crush temporarily.”
Eunwoo glanced around the café before shooting you an exasperated look. “A crush?! Y/N, come-”
“I could take away the crush aspect of your problem, if you want, Eunwoo. Who’s to say I don’t have one too?”
Eunwoo stared at you dumbfounded until he started to grow dizzy. Yearning for fresh air, he barely breathed out an excuse me before dashing for the exit, walking briskly down the sidewalk whilst breathing in deeply.
You caught up to him a moment later. “You’re so dramatic.”
“Not usually,” he replied with a side glance in your direction. He couldn’t help but scrunch up his face when he realised the itch in his palm to reach out for yours.
He pocketed his hands deeply into his jeans.
“So you like me. And perhaps I like you.”
Eunwoo stopped walking and stared at you imploringly. “Did you like me before or after I admitted to being bothered by you?”
“Does it matter?”
“You’re just stunned because a guy said some nice things.”
“No, it’s nothing like that,” you corrected and stepped closer. “I haven’t met someone who I can easily talk to right away like you. Normally I’m really reserved. Plus, I can’t deny that you’re rather handsome, either.”
Eunwoo couldn’t help but laugh then. “So normally we’re both different from how we’re representing to one another now.”
“It means something.”
“I don’t believe in love at first sight,” he warned and you shrugged.
“Did I say I was in love? I just suggested we explore this. I’ll help you get over this issue you’re dealing with and see if what I feel is something worth acting upon. What do you say?”
Eunwoo sighed and after a moment’s thought, he nodded. “That sounds like the best option we have.”
Much to Eunwoo’s surprise, your idea worked well. It took enduring through another two weeks of less than stellar performances from him in class before he found the rhythm needed to be productive at your side. And because this was achieved by spending all his time in between classes with you, you were now efficient study buddies. You bounced ideas off one another, even with your other subjects that you didn’t take together. Eunwoo was also able to spend hours just reading across from you and whilst he still had moments where he stopped and stared or felt his heart racing, he was no longer incapable.
The physical reactions hadn’t stopped though. If anything, they had intensified. He would often find himself itching to reach out for you and sometimes he did that, relishing in the moment of connection. Holding your hand or letting you lean against him when you grew tired at the end of a cramming session made Eunwoo feel more in control of the reactions. He was empowered every time he gave into them.
And that made him realise that things had progressed in his mind further than just a crush.
“What are you doing over the weekend?” you asked during lunch and Eunwoo glanced up at you and shrugged.
“Probably nothing aside from a bit of study.”
“Nothing?” you asked and then shook your head. “That won’t do!”
“Being lazy and not attending school sounds like it’ll do just fine,” he admitted with a smirk and you rolled your eyes impatiently.
“But you could do more than that.”
“I could?” he wondered, looking at you curiously. “Like what?”
“We could go to the arcade or see a movie or-”
“Like a date?” he interrupted and you clamped your mouth shut, giving a small shy nod. He grinned. “Did you just try to ask me out on a date, Y/N?”
“Well you’re taking forever to do so and I just thought that it would be nice to spend time together outside of the university campus and explore more of what this feeling is between us.”
It was his turn to be delighted at your expense, chuckling when you started to grumble incoherently. Eunwoo leaned towards you with another smirk. “When will you pick me up?”
“You’ll go out with me?” you breathed and then a smile grew on your lips. “Really?”
“You’ll have to be prepared for me though. I’ve barely been holding back these last few days from you. If we’re going on a date, who knows what will happen.”
Actually, it wasn’t much different from daily life at your side. So far, you had enjoyed the arcade together and even saw a comedy that made his sides hurt from too much laughter. Now he was holding your hand and swinging it lightly as you ate ice-creams walking alongside the river. Conversation had flowed freely as had the smiles. Eunwoo was pretty sure the corners of his mouth were going to ache tomorrow after how much he’d curled his lips up in pleasure today with you.
Still, there was something that was different.
All day long, he had wanted to kiss you. At little moments, like when you grinned up at him after winning a game you’d tried several rounds on at the arcade. Or when you offered him a piece of popcorn and he had stared at you instead. You had even let him try your ice-cream flavour and for a second, Eunwoo had contemplated the age-old technique of kissing you to taste it instead.
Yet he held back each time, searching for a better moment.
“I guess I should take you home,” you mentioned once your ice-creams were finished, looking up at him with an unreadable expression. You then smiled when he laughed.
“I can’t believe you held to your end of the deal.”
“Well, I did ask you out on this date. Gender roles mean nothing in the modern age. A woman can pick a guy up and drop him off at his front door after an enjoyable time together.”
“You going to kiss me goodnight too then?” he wondered cheekily, only realising what he said a moment after.
Before he could apologise for the impromptu response, you were already slyly grinning up at him. “Maybe I should. Then one of us would have acted upon it.”
“You noticed?”
“How could I not?!” you exclaimed, shifting in closer. “You basically stared at my lips more than any other guy has before.”
Eunwoo rubbed his neck awkwardly. “Hah, I guess so.”
“It’s okay. I’ve been doing the same too. Wondering when I’d get to feel them against my own mouth.”
Eunwoo reached out to cup the side of your face, searching your eyes momentarily before leaning down towards you. He hesitated but not because he was nervous.
Watching as you fluttered your eyes shut when he was mere inches away from your face, Eunwoo’s heart started to thump noisily in his chest. He felt a surge of emotions wash over him as if he had already kissed you and had fallen trap to your enchanting ways. He witnessed the pursing of your lips, waiting for his own.
This moment.
This was more than he had ever experienced before in his life. He had dated girls when he was younger and even held a relationship for over a year during high school. But all of that paled to the way you willingly wanted him now.
It urged him to take your lips with his own, overwhelming all his senses. The kiss was soft, caressing right down to his soul. As he pulled you closer and deepened the embrace, Eunwoo knew he wouldn’t kiss anyone quite as well as he were you. Much as he tried to label the first moment, he searched through his mind for the reason why you made him feel like this now.
He couldn’t come up with any ideas that fitted perfectly, but your mouth sure felt as if it were made to be against his.
Finally, you stepped back, breath staggered and a hand upon your heaving chest. He watched you recover, his mind swirling with thoughts of you and his body was tingling from the experience.
“You’re beautiful,” he confessed and you eyed him again, a giddy smile crossing your swollen lips.
“And you’re mine now, right?”
Mine. Maybe that was the term Eunwoo was searching for. He nodded. “I’m yours.”
