Death Notice of Pollux Black

Pollux Nigellus, late Head of the House of Black, died in the family home on the 5th of February 1984, following a short illness. He is survived by his sister Cassiopeia, his daughter Walburga, son Cygnus, his grandson, Sirius Orion, and two granddaughters. The funeral service will begin after the sun has risen on the 8th of February at Hild Lodge where the House crypt is located. It is a private service, by invitation, where guests and their escorts may pay respects and eat with the family. The service is being hosted by Madam Cassiopeia Black, matriarch of the House, and Mr. Remus Lupin, the proxy for the currently incarcerated Sirius Orion, new Head of the House of Black. Donations in memorial to St. Mungos Trust.

Ein Boot wie unsere “Lily of Hamble”, eine 50 ft Bavaria Cruiser kann schon bis zu 10 kt schnell Segeln. Über der Rumpfgeschwindigkeit geht nichts, also rechnen wir mit einem Durchschnitt von 7 kt.

Every days a school day How about a bit of astronavigation to fill time when autohelm is doing all the work in a Bay of Biscay crossing. Out came the textbooks and the sextant, and we took sun sights before embarking on a complicated process (with quite simple maths thanks to to the Astro tables). It did take 4 supporting volumes of data and tables to “pinpoint” our location by finding the exact location of the sun at an exact time.
