OnS Theories (18S). Third Theory - A demon’s nature (Mika vs the 3 black demons)
Hello everyone! I know, it’s been a good time since I’ve updated theories, next chapter is releasing soon, therefore, I’ll be updating several theories within these days.
I hope you’ve been doing well dear readers, let’s begin!
P.S: Theories exclude ships and are held within a neutral view
If many might recall, the last chapter ended up in a cliffhanger, furthermore, the concept of the soul was sightly touched ever since Shikama Doji tasked the demons to take Mika’s soul for his own purposes:

Within this, there’s something that is dismissed or rather, it’s not viewed in its full concept, what do I mean?
Correct. Demons have their own nature, but how can I say such thing?
For that, let’s take Mikaela’s behavior as a demon:

Compared to other demons, Mikaela is the first newborn demon that appeared with his blue eyes, the reason to this was spoken within an old theory but, after giving it some thought, there’s actually another possible fact that could lead to why Mika is the only black demon with blue eyes. And of course, this goes to the nature of demons.
Mika as a demon is seen as one with a cool demanor centered in what he requires to keep sustaining the samsara he lives, the dream world he sees but doesn’t remember why he sees it, but what does this have to do with their nature?
Demons alone, without the interference of the First Progenitor are like Mikaela, focused on possessing a human to feed on their desires with the difference that Mika does not focus on erasing the existance of the human he’ll possess, but rather, he’ll feed on the desires such human has in order to sustain the world he sees and is willing to protect:

Mika states he must find a human and devour their desires not because he’s a demon and he aims to control them but rather, because his set goal is to keep his existance within the world along the beautiful world he sees as a dream

And within this, it gives the insight that Mika has his own soul, what made him be Mikaela Hyakuya/Shindo in the first place; but why do I state there’s a difference between the other demons and Mikaela? Is it because he’s the First’s child?
The answer to this is NO.
Does it mean the other demons don’t have souls?
They do. How can I state such thing?
If many might recall the events from chapter 98 and 100, after the battle between Mika and the other 3 demons started, Mika stated something which is visible within the next panels:

The demon Mikaela states “he’ll devour the invaders desires first” but, how will he do that if the other black demons are acting under the will of the first?
The answer to this is in fact easy. And that is the fact that the First Progenitor, being the one who made the chosen vampires to become demons, did something to them related to what they felt or held dear, but, is there any proof to this?
In fact there is. Back in chapter 73 and 77-79, Asuramaru recalled memories from when he was human without the interference of the First Progenitor, he recalled he held Krul very dear to him, his main goal was to protect her no matter what

But, after the awakening of Mika as a demon, Asuramaru recalled even further, to the point on which “that something” the First did to them triggered within them, ignoring the fact Asuramaru’s main priority was to protect his sister, which is something visible even in older panels which take back in chapter 49:

It could be said that the nature of Ashera, Kiseki-O, Gekkouin, Byakkomaru and Raimeki was sealed by the First Progenitor, making them focus on feeding on the desires of humans in order to take over their bodies instead of keeping a world on which they could leave their laments aside, a world on which they’d be dreaming for eternity without worries. and, within this, there’s a hint of Ashera’s nature within chapter 98

Despite having their goal all set to take down Mika’s soul, Asuramaru recalled the words Yu told him at that moment, that he was his best friend, of course, the control the First has over them is bigger, making null any emotion he could have in relation to the bond he created with Yu, hence why we were able to see one of the scariest sides of Asuramaru:

Before this theory ends, how can it be clear that Asuramaru has a soul specially with such attitude displayed in chapter 100?

Asuramaru stated something rather curious to Mika when he was facing him in a battle. Asuramaru wondered if Mika could protect his desires, the ones hiding deep in his heart, and this actually relates a lot to what I stated above:
The answer to this is in fact easy. And that is the fact that the First Progenitor, being the one who made the chosen vampires to become demons, did something to them related to what they felt or held dear
It can be said that the First Progenitor, in order to retain control of the several black demons that exist with the exclusion of Mika and Mahiru, it’s highly possible he took away all the desires the demons felt, what do I mean?
It is often said that in order to feel alive, there must be a desire, such desire gives birth to emotions, which is something reflected in humans most of the cases, but, that doesn’t exclude vampires, in fact, despite the centuries they’re able to live, they do have emotions even if they’re held down with time, but, within this, it’s highly possible that the First, after turning his chosen demons (Ashera, Kiseki-O, Gekkouin, Byakkomaru, Raimeki and Noya), took their desires away, removed that part of them what made them long for life in order to make them work for him from old times of the past.
Therefore, to conclude, the nature alone of demons is in fact a peaceful nature like Mika’s nature unless provoked which is so far a natural response from someone protecting his space and world.
What do you think?
Let me know!
