My favorite “veganism” of the day is this week’s homemade trail mix! If i can find these items in MY hick town… well I hope your town has more life than mine - progressive forms of life that is ! I know I’m starting off with a vegan snack example that’s a little too easy BUT, this jar lasts me two weeks, everyone kind of eases into veganism, and I’m sure each day I’ll post something more and more hardy. Looking at typical vegan blogs always made me feel dread towards making meals because I’m not someone who enjoys cooking whatsoever. When I do cook, I have to turn into a mad scientist just to entertain myself, and that rarely turns out well. Besides, I’ve yet to adopt children so until I got married, my interest in the kitchen was absolutely null. Now, of course, my wife and I would like to do better for and inspire one another after having been junk food vegans for the first few years of marriage in that stage where couples basically gorge together with utter gluttony (minus the utters in our case). I feel lately as though I’ve been doing this veggie thing long enough, and have found enough variety in my meals, to showcase how easy a vegan life can be. Don’t get me wrong, unless you are a millionaire or a completely RAW vegan (which I still hope to be one day) veganism will be inevitably hard within this current generation. That is to say, throughout my lifetime, I don’t expect vegan options, or vegan people, to ever be as present as they should be. I never conceal the hard truths, and I’ll also never be one of those pretentious veggie bloggers who thinks you own a cheesecloth. I prefer to keep things as simple as possible, which is why I don’t even know what a cheesecloth is used for (nor do I appreciate it being called a cheesecloth!) Alas! Photos of simple trailmix, and yes I did use my most beautiful “mug shot” here. I would suggest that anyone and everyone order those ‘little secret’ vegan m&ms and the tropical mix bag of goodies. If you’ve never had vegan m&ms, be prepared to be totally, one hundred percent relieved at this amazing alternative(btw they’re slightly larger than the average m&m).
