Excuse the terrible picture but this thing is massive. It's actually a scarf but because it's so huge it has other uses such as being an impromptu bedspread for Craig.
I made a new Atomic Utopia design inspired by Slavic folklore (and radio towers because why not) then got it made into a sterling silver sovereign ring. I had the engraving left raw so that a dark patina will develop in the ridges over time with wear. My pics are rubbish but this thing looks amazing in person. I'd love to get more made but in the mean time if you like the design it's available on other things. :)
Got some more product samples.
I've added a load of new designs to my website (atomic-utopia.co.uk). If you like Blaenau Ffestiniog, Yugoslavian cars, Soviet watches, propaganda, pylons, radio towers, Serbian post-punk, Welsh, Leningrad, Décima Víctima, Preston bus station, Manchester, Blacko (it's sort of near Burnley), the Moscow Metro, or emotional babes, then please check it out. :)
Well, I've built a new website and front end for my shop and have now got a proper URL (www.atomic-utopia.co.uk) so I suppose this is the grand opening. :)
I've got a few design series in mind including more speculative tourism for dodgy British towns, more post-punk band t-shirts (though I have to skirt a fine line with copyright and such), a range of minimalist line drawings of brutalist buildings, more Americana inspired designs based on mise-en-scene from our travels, and, of course, loads of Soviet stuff.
Please let me know if there are any issues or have any ideas for new designs or changes to existing ones. I'd love to hear feedback. Ta!
Some designs for my t-shirt shop, Atomic Utopia.
