Bzzzzzzzzz!
I’m mum. I live in an odd set up. Home is me, tiny 2 (nearly 3 ) yr old, besty, and moobear the pooch. We’re a force to be reckoned with. Our life is bliss. Most of the time. I’m very lucky with besty. She’s like a second mum to Tiny. I’m sure it all looks a bit strange from the outside, but in the inside we have the time of our lives. So, I’ve decided to write about it. I reckon that a read about our crazy, fun filled, adventurous, oddball, mixed up life, all backed up with the benny hill theme tune, would be a fun read. An entertaining read at that. So here it begins.
so i am a crazy hippie mom
I am a cloth diapering, anti meds, antivax, anticio, peaceful parenting, co sleeping, extended breastfeeding, babywearing, and blw.
I am a doula in training going back to school to be a midwife, believe in homebirthing, vbac, placenta encapsulation, and the empowerment of women through other women.
we should not put each other down for the choices that each of us make but we should back each other up.
I love my life and I love my job.
So. Josh told me to let Oakley cry it out the other day. I about flipped my lid. I told him I do not do cry it out Because Oakley for one will NOT cry it out it just makes it ten billion times worse. And he'll get so upset he gets strangled on his spit. Its crazy scary so why would you let that happen. If you do literally everything you can and nothing works (diaper change, run the shower, wind chimes, walk him around, feed him) last resort get in the shower with that baby it soothes him. And if all else fails give him to me. My mom and I went grocery shopping and my dad watched Oakley yesterday and dad called us because Oakley had been crying for 45 minutes straight. So we rushed home and as soon as I walked in I took him and my dad ranted about how I can never get a baby sitter because he's like that. And its my fault because I breastfeed and sleep with him. Made me kind of upset. Just saying.
